[Help] Does anyone know how to track a users' Internet Explorer history with Altiris and ... Updates to this post /post/223476-does-anyone-know-how-to-track-a-use Sat, 05 Dec 2009 10:52:31 +0100 Reply from The Clue /post/223476-does-anyone-know-how-to-track-a-use#reply-4557039 Their programs made for schools that will block unwanted websites and proxies so that students cant access them from the schools servers. The reason that the history tracker is not included (It could be easily programed in) is that it would violate the privacy of the students. That prevents you from harassing certain students or spying on others. Hope this helps :-)

Reply from scott_c_burton /post/223476-does-anyone-know-how-to-track-a-use#reply-4556773 I am in a public school invironment. Our system is set up so that when students logout, their profile is deleted to keep the profiles from growing too large. Since the I.E. history would normally be found in the user’s profile and the student’s profiles are deleted upon logout, I need a method to see what websites a student(s) has accessed. Maybe this explanation gives you more insight to my issue. Any other thoughts?

Reply from The Clue /post/223476-does-anyone-know-how-to-track-a-use#reply-4556654 If its for your office environment, there programs that will track record or block Internet access just google them. if you want to track a user that loges onto your server that is a Trojan, or spy-ware and its against the TOS of this site to tell you how to do that. Hope this helps :-)
