He is stationed in Japan and our daughter wanted to take the summer after graduation and go to Japan to spend 8 weeks with him. We said no and said she needed to stay home & ready herself for college. If by next summer they were still together (they had only been dating for 6mos and yes, he is from our home town) then we would consider helping her pay for a trip to see him. My mother then purchased her airline tickets behind our backs and then lied about it. Needless to say, we are very angry about the whole situation. She says she is sorry but has done nothing to prove it and has totally neglected us since.
