Reply from Anonymous /post/228893-why-does-it-seem-like-everyone-is-d#reply-4618769 :) Yes, I enjoy movies, although I haven’t been able to find many good ones recently - it seems I have watched them all! :D I like writing, but I can never finish a story because I can never think of a good plot - although I’ve been coming up with some things lately. Poems are easier in some ways, because you don’t need a story, although you can have one.
I’m not sure I could keep up a schedule, and it’s bad enough that I usually wait until seven to start my homework. :)

Elves absolutely fascinate me. :DI also like powerful poetry, the kind that makes you think of love and death and deep stuff like that. I’m writing a poem right now, but it’s pretty difficult because I obsess over rhyming. :) And movies and books can seriously make me cry, lol. All my friends are sitting there dry-eyed just watching as the protagonist’s best friend dies, and I’m like, “Hello? Have you no emotions at all?!” :P
omg am I talking to myself?

Reply from Anonymous /post/228893-why-does-it-seem-like-everyone-is-d#reply-4618680 My favorite is “The Deed of Paksenarrion” by Elizabeth Moon. Better than Harry Potter. Even better than “The Lord of The Rings,” in my opinion. :) Though barely anyone has heard of it.

But it is easier to have a few friends when they aren’t weirded out by everything you do. :)I’ve tried having fun, but I got lonely, so now I’m trying to be “cool.” It’s extremely boring, and I’m still all but invisible, but that’s better than being the odd one out, I think. And I can still express myself at home. :)
You talk to an “odd one” and “weirdo” lol

Everything we are is nice, but it must be original

Be cool because you ARE cool… not to seem cool…

And dont forget, people dont need excuses to talk bad about you. They will no matter what. So being something authentic, make your life easier ;)

Live every single day as though it were your last.
Live, love, learn, teach. Grow day by day.
Open your heart to all of life’s experiences.
“But above all of this—LOVE”. The greatest gift ever.
Ours for the taking, and most definitely for the giving.
Whatever we give out in life comes bounding back to us.
So, try not to dwell on the END of life so much.
Strive to keep TODAY in your heart. Make every day a new beginning.

Reply from -Luna- /post/228893-why-does-it-seem-like-everyone-is-d#reply-4618454 Death its just the continuing of living; the matter is what have we done to the others if we were good, or sad, or optimists, or pessimists, how hard we tried, if people know us, if our smile and perfume is memorable…

Mystery of death is on all people’s head; because of their Vanity mostly. We dont want to die because we dont know what lies ahead, but we do want to die and quit on everything, when things get tight.

A friend of mine died 3 weks ago. He had a great smile, he was 23y.o. he worked hard, and he was a good person. And he died. Isnt it freaky?

Dying thoughts are normal.

Being negative, for me is not a matter. Its just the opposite viewing of life.

Agreed. Which, at the moment, is what I’m trying to do. Figure out my purpose, even if it’s only to serve as a warning to others. :D (Despair.com, people. I love it)

I simply wanted to know if I was the only one who realized there was no greater purpose, no reason why the universe should care what we do. But that doesn’t mean I don’t care what I do. :)

Jjlove - I feel there should be a purpose, but I cannot discern what it is, and I’m not going to spend my life chasing it, just in case it’s not actually there. And like I said, maybe certain people can change the world, but does that really make a difference, insignificant little planet Earth as we are?

Billie - Put simply, yes. Though that’s a bit morose.

Reply from Eris /post/228893-why-does-it-seem-like-everyone-is-d#reply-4618404 Everyone dies. It is inevitable. You’re going to die, and so I am.
I believe the purpose is to do what you want to do.
I don’t care that no one will remember me. I’m working toward a degree in nursing. I’d like to get married, maybe have a kid, maybe not, depends on what my husband does. I don’t care if that child never does a school project on his/her family tree.

I guess all I can really tell you, is accept it. If you can’t accept not understanding life, or being mortal, I don’t think I can tell you anything.

Hope it helps a little to know you’re not alone in knowing there’s no purpose in life…
