You obviously think you are a genius, but the mere fact that you parade yourself so proudly, in pretentious manner, indicates that you are not a genius. If you really want to benefit the world, I suggest that you allow yourself to develop humulity; and while you are at it, let your mind grow.

I suspect you will not appreciate my comments, but they are nevertheless true. I hope that you reply, for the first time, truthfully and nobly; and that too I suspect you will find diffucult to do.

Reply from gemme_91 /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4792821 i think a genius is a person who was taught the ways of life since being a toddler and to difine it correctly, he or she just had the ability to understand or do the things better then some other people, thus they are referred to as being a genius. but i dont think that anyone can just be born and know everything there is to know everything about life. All in all, humans has to be taught things, and its just that some people are better at using that knowledge better then some other people, are thus being called geniuses because of the way they are able to use their brain and reflect on things.

Reply from magic dust /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4667163
Oh, someone asked what about me?
Well, I ask questions all the time, to greater forces, to God, to the Genius within me, and I love reading, studying, and finding answers.
All I know is that IDEAS are like tools. There is no one idea that is fundamentally bad or good. There are only FUNCTIONAL tools. Just like working on an Automobile. With life, we have choices, motions, and actions, and within these moments we use ideas to complete goals, attain longing, and realize success. Ideas are only tools. Sometimes an IDEA will help you in one situation, and in another, that same idea is redundant.
What I like to ask most often, is how to stay awake to my true nature as a spiritual being, and to manifest what I want, and be flexible enough to see the path of power in any one moment.
Honestly, I’m posting this QUESTION about “what question would you ask” because I find myself in a helping position. I also have an amazing gift at being able to help anyone succeed at anything. And I’m especially successful in helping people create happiness in their lives no matter what situation, what age, what background.
I want to write a book that will be useful, and as Universal as can be.
I don’t believe I’m a Genius, because like IDEAS it is a relative term, an Idea itself that changes from scenario to scenario!
All I know is that It would be fun to serve human kind with a truly remarkable guidebook for life.
Thanks to everyone who is responding. I hope there are more responses throughout the day.
i think thats a really good idea i’d love to read a book like that….

as for my earlier comment i meant somebody else not myself! xx

Reply from meredithfabia /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4647737 Just stumbled across this page and it caught my curious bend.

1) My question for you, Metabreathin: What is beneath the breath?

2) As for a question for the Genius: Are there other universes with living beings and how do I get there? (This would satiate the explorer in me.)

3) My other questions for the Genius is would be: What is the cure for cancer?

- That’s what comes to mind upon first thought!

Reply from barely /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4645441 Excuse me, but I did answer the post thank you. If I met a genius I would ask those questions. I would love to see a book about what constitutes genius, because in my mind it’s an abstract. It’s the ability to connect thought to source and find the higher enightened end result of both. I suppose if I had answered your post with something like when was vanilla pudding first created you would have been more comfortable maybe?

Reply from metabreathin /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4645423 Excuse me, but you didn’t answer the question in the post. It was a hypothetical question about what you would most love to be enlightened about if you had the opportunity. Would you actually spend your opportunity questioning the source, or would you actually ask a real question?

Reply from barely /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4645406 I would ask, do you classify yourself a genius? And if so, “Why do you classify yourself as such,” and is this classification made by you yourself or a group of your peers? If this is your classification alone then what is it weighted against as far as intellect goes? If it’s a classification made by your peers then are they less intelligent than you, (in which you may seem a genius to them), or are they more intelligent than you, in which case they are genius and are catering to your wishes as a wannabe. So who is the final judge here? Is it you agreeing with yourself that you may just be a genius or is it all those looking and smirking at you thinking you to be a self professed know-it-all?

Reply from metabreathin /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644972 in regards to the person who asked about THEISM:

Here is a pasted definition of that word, as humans use it. Although I must say, I don’t hear it used very often at all. So I would ask this person, why are you so concerned about this? How does this term/idea/word impact your life? How is this term impactful enough to want to do away with the idea?

________________

Theism, in its most inclusive usage, is the belief in at least one deity. Some narrower usages specify that the deity believed in be a distinct identifiable entity, thereby being contrasted with pantheism. Other narrower usages specify that the deity (or deities) be an active, immanent force in the universe, thus excluding some forms of deism. Theism can be categorized into more particular types, such as monotheism (in which case the word God is capitalized) and polytheism.

The term theism was first used by Ralph Cudworth (1617-1688) [1],and was probably coined to contrast with atheism, a term that is attested from ca. 1587 (see the etymology section of atheism for details).

Reply from metabreathin /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644968 In response to the guy who claims to know what a Genius is…

Okay, then modify the question to “If you met a Spiritual Being From the 13th Dimension who was friends with God… (Oh heck) Jesus himself. or whatever being you trust, Then what would you ask him?”
Come on people work with me here. I don’t mean a taught person. I mean a true Genius.
True Genius’s pool from an internal source, and don’t base ideas on what they’ve learned!
That would not be a genius! That would be an educated person! ha ha ha. Seriously!!!

Or was your question:
“What exactly is a Genius? and how do I define that?”
ha ha

Reply from toulsonrichi /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644954 A genius wouldn’t be able to provide any answers to any of the major questions anyway. They would only have learnt (and be able to make new ideas from) what the human race understands already. They wouldn’t have any other worldly knowledge that they could provide.

Reply from M. Wright /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644952 I’d ask, “What are the most effective ways of stopping theism and how are they accomplished?”

Reply from metabreathin /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644941 Well thanks for the thought all the same! The more participants the better. Maybe your real question is: “Where does Chaos fit into the scheme of everything?” or “Where does silence, mischief, or simple quiet observation fit in to the scheme of consciousness?” That’s a thought.

Reply from metabreathin /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644870 Freelance Supergirl: you didn’t answer my post. Who cares about my screen name. But if you want to know, it means “that which is beneath the breath. The importance of breathing on a metaphysical level.

I like the questions about:
“Why do we need other humans (beside procreation)”
and
“How do you make someone happy?” (although I’d be more curious to know if you meant, make yourself happy, or someone else?)

What’s up with the last guy. You don’t have anything to say? Then why did you respond? Ha ha.

I love the:
“How to have a pure heart?”

Thanks so far!!! This is great.

Reply from Fuzzy Pepper /post/231177-if-you-met-a-genius-and-they-said#reply-4644865 The proverbial “what is the meaning of life?” I guess.

But since I really think I already know that, I would ask how to have a pure heart. (not that I don’t…just that so many times people are caught up by inconsequential/selfish/meaningless things and fail to see the big picture or the most humane way to deal with their loved ones/strangers/etc)
