[Help] Where can you find a therapist without having to go to a school counsler? Now its going to be tuned onto me.

My mom was good, but recently since my sister turned 18 like 5 days ago every responsability has fallen on me, I had no warning at all. I’m an animal lover so I prefer both. 63 is big number but 87 is even bigger. Sometimes I feel safest in my room with music playing and a good book, I love to get lost in books and hope my life will turn out like that but knowing it never will. When I’m with my friends I’m in heaven my friends are a second family to me.

When he was here things were bad and I mean really bad, when he was gone they were good, me my sister and my brother all told him not to come home but he insisted. My dad moved away and then moved back and now things have all gone to hell. I’m not bullied at school, I like to think I’m well known but not for being the brainiac or the ****, but just for being me and getting along with people. Yes, that is the trouble with school counselors - nothing is kept personal. I wouldn’t use them for my life. But I’m all about privacy. Things don’t work when there’s no trust …

So, if you’re willing to accept help here, give me some minor details. I know you’re a girl, early years in high school, and have had suicidal thoughts.

Now let’s get what I don’t know. How long have you had these thoughts? Do they appear without reason? Are you bullied at school? Do you think they come from depression or any kind of insecurities? Do you believe in any kind of God?

We’ll go from there.

A doctor may be an option, but not the family doctor, if he wants it to be private.

If you don’t have much money for a counselor, then I’m afraid there aren’t that many options. The only option you really have is the school counselor.

Unless you are willing to post more up here. I’ll help you if you can be a little more specific. I understand if you don’t want therapy over the internet - too impersonal - but your options may be limited.
