[Help] I bought Adobe CS3 and installation doesn't work. Updates to this post /post/242583-i-bought-adobe-cs3-and-installation Tue, 01 Dec 2009 09:06:30 +0100 Reply from Anonymous /post/242583-i-bought-adobe-cs3-and-installation#reply-4765550 thanks, but there was no error code
just a summery of the installation that shows that it actually didn’t install anything.
i did clean up the registry and deleted everything that might have made troubles.
i even used a special cleaner from adobe, and no good.

eventually i looked at the windows system log,
it showed many errors reading the cd’s.
so after another few hours of removing anti viruses and firewalls during yet another install, like adobe suggested, i decided to try to exchange the cd drive itself.

so it ended up to be hardware problem
needed to take the cd drive from the old pc.

and the lesson is:
before calling a technician, check if the computer is plugged.

Reply from vickievicki /post/242583-i-bought-adobe-cs3-and-installation#reply-4764463 try installing again. This time when the error code comes up note down the number then search using google the error. You could also go to the adobe website as they have a forum and help files there. That should be able to help you.

before reinstalling try running a cclean (program) or searching for all past folder and deleting. I think that you need to remove all past traces for it to install properly

or if you brought the program ring them on monday

cheers

good luck
