[Help] Strange Lump on Lower Spine, Cause for concern? Updates to this post /post/251755-strange-lump-on-lower-spine-cause Thu, 26 Nov 2009 19:30:17 +0100 Reply from abbyjo /post/251755-strange-lump-on-lower-spine-cause#reply-5144860 I would get it checked out, but don’t be too worried. I have the exact same thing. It popped up (literally) 4 years ago and hasn’t gone anywhere. I’ve have x-rays, MRIs and bloodwork at multiple doctors and keep getting the same response… It’s there (it isn’t in my head), it’s abnormal, we don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t appear dangerous. For a while they thought it might be a lipoma (a lump of fat cells.. totally benign) but the MRI confirmed it wasn’t. Still, you should get it checked out to make sure yours isn’t more serious. If nothing else, it makes me feel better that someone else has one of these!

Reply from Rocking Panda /post/251755-strange-lump-on-lower-spine-cause#reply-4836434 Won’t the silver bullet only bring death to a werewolf? If you are werewolf I suggest just locking yourself in every full moon, that way you won’t kill people and you get to live.

Reply from Rocking Panda /post/251755-strange-lump-on-lower-spine-cause#reply-4836394 The only answer is to get it looked at by a doctor. Only a doctor will be able to give you the answers you need. It is apparent that you are worried by its existence, so you should stop putting it off an book an appointment. Procrastination is silly in matters to do with your health, after all you would want it to be caught early and treated, if it turned out to be something which could affect your health.

It’s not something to be embarrassed about and would give you peace of mind, that at least you had it checked out.
