Reply from mz.mo /post/253717-summer-reading-help#reply-5126739 both Matian ch is more sci fi but kinda old school sci fi you know? still very good… and something wicked is more mysterious

I also have read all Chuck Palinuks books…. he wrote Fight Club… yes it was a book first, but he is a very dark disturbed funny author
those are my 2 fav writers

Reply from Hellacious Haro /post/253717-summer-reading-help#reply-4856576 The first time I read it I was on a plane to Washington DC

Though it made no sense… I had no idea what the words mean until I looked it up.

Reply from THE INTERNET /post/253717-summer-reading-help#reply-4856539 well i have it on my bookshelf and i will be waiting around alot during spring break, because I am going to Washington DC via some mode of transportation, and seeing as teleportation technology is behind and very expensive, I will be stuck waiting somewhere

Reply from Hellacious Haro /post/253717-summer-reading-help#reply-4856529 Ah, yes I remember.
I tried to read it without looking up what the slangs mean, it was so hard to read.
And I just read it again last week(with the meanings of the words this time…) I really like it.
You HAVE TO read it :D

Reply from pink sparkle /post/253717-summer-reading-help#reply-4854291 Catch 22 cause it’s one of the most recommended books.

I’ve enver read any of them. I only heard of Catch 22 cause I saw it on Harvard’s top 100 classical books to read…It’s on most “Top Books to read” too…So I think it’s a good classic. You can read an overview about your 3 choices so that you can make a more informed decision.

If you like classic books, I suggest The Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, The Alchemist, the Girl with the Pearl Earring, Les Miserables.

I’m reading Les miserables now.
