The Incas believed that when this time came, those who stayed grounded to the earth would remain “safe”, but those who separated themselves (technology, pollution, living in a society where it works for you) would and could create consequences and would suffer determining on their choices over the period of time. Also some scientists believed that on December 21st?? 2012, the Earth’s polarities would switch, which could cause massive disruption in today’s’ technology. But its all skepticism, with the only evidence buried by lies and time. Not saying they had absolutely no reason to believe the theories they were creating, but nothing rock solid. Although the scientist who did believe in this took quite a strong position, however, if you were arguing something as, considerably ridiculous as this, you would have to be adamant no matter the tenacity of your belief.
