the doctor told me to get a warm washcloth or towel and just keep it there until the swelling goes down he said to do it 3 to 5 times a day

i dont know if we had the same thing but my eye had a big bump on it and it started to swell really bad too..

If it is along the lash line it might be what is called a stye. About the best thing to do for a stye is to use a warm tea bag on it to help soothe it and draw it out quicker.

But be safe. After all this is your eye you are talking about. If using the warm tea bag doesn’t give you any relief You should see a doc about it ASAP.
