Reply from foliq /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-5066739 I just got disqualified form SJSU, was trying to major in electrical engineering for the same reason u were. I guess I’m gonna try to build up my GPA through open university. U should definitely try going back to college again and u probably feel rusty because u haven’t studied in a long time. Once, u start and get a hold of it, you will be back.

Reply from khaoniy3 /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-5050102 Rest assure my friend. I am in EXACTLY the same position you are. From being disqualified from CSULB to not knowing what I want to be in life. I don’t know what major I should pursue. I only choose business because that is what my parents expected of me. I have been trying to make up my GPA by taken courses thru Open University but it is getting expensive. There are so many more obstacles a student has to endure when he/she is disqualified. And unfortunately, there are not many resources to go to. I do not have any advice to offer, just that I am in the same boat.

Reply from Anonymous /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-4985779 yeah, if you can go back then do.
I went back to college for a year when I was too ill to work,
it was worth it, and I am still poor but I hope to get my degree somehow one day,
night school, online learning or full time if can get a loan, worth it,
and I know what you mean about learning getting more difficult, when you do menial work, as I have also had to, it can numb your brain and make you feel a bit dull, there is an online college called email college that offers free courses - not degrees or academic courses, just a lot of interesting courses for self development and brain sharpening, good fun.

Reply from guster32 /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-4984835 Well, lemme see-if I was your age and had all of this to deal with, I would either get a job that I could tolerate and go back to school on=line-medical profession is grueling, horrifying work, but there is a need and it pays really well-and you can get a degree (AD) in two years. You could go to night school, week-end school or do most of it on-line except for clinicals. Or, you could join the Peace Corps and see what’s really goin’ on and that might help direct you to a field that yoou might love. i made all the wrong choices, and I wish I had had someone like me in my corner to suggest these things. Some people come out of the womb(I swear) knowing exactly what they want to do! And then there are people like us that just don’t know exactly what to do with ourselves. Sometimes it takes a little longer. Don’t wait too long, before you take action. Time flies right on by, regardless of what you are doing at the moment. Good luck, you sound very capable of becoming just about anything you want to be. The hot jobs are still Information Technology and Nursing-IT is much cleaner and has much better hours than nursing and not so much BURN out. You will find your way…

Reply from Stunna /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-4984832
If you go back to school you can defer your loan payments. However it sounds like you will need another loan in order to afford to go back to school? Students loans are difficult to get right now, especially if you have a limited income and already have several loans you’re paying off. If you can get a loan I would recommend going back to school. By the time you graduate hopefully the recession will be over, you’ll have your degree, you’ll be able to find a high-paying job, switch your loans off deferment, start paying them off again, and hopefully, be happy.

If you can’t get a loan then that’s your answer. Can’t pay for school, can’t go, no need to ask yourself if you should go back.

Good luck!
bingo. perfect.

Reply from sum /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-4984796 No you can get specialist high paying jobs if you work as an apprentice sometimes. For instance a pyrotechnitian only needs to graduate high school and work an apprenticeship. My unkle was a high school drop out and currently is a FED ex air maintenance man.

Reply from njwingate /post/272095-i-want-an-honest-answer-please-as-t#reply-4984792 if you don’t get a degree, you can’t get a good job i think. do you want to live in a box, asking people for money? i don’t think so. i don’t think it is that easy to follow your dreams. you just have to work a little bit harder
