Reply from rapunzel /post/275923-what-to-do#reply-5011120 Hey we all make mistakes, that’s just part of life, but coming through them is the most fab feeling. You’re just in a bad place for a moment, but you’ll find a way through it, and then find you’ve got so much other good stuff going on you won’t really think about the bad much.
The worst thing you could do is to take out another loan - anyone who offers you a loan on a site like this has got to be shady! Genuine lenders can be found on the high street!
Try to find a local debt counsellor - they will help you draw up a budget, and help you to contact your debtors to maybe come to some manageable arrangement. Maybe your local library would have a list of local organisations?
Good luck x

Reply from funky_kri /post/275923-what-to-do#reply-5011098 Hey guys thanks for your responses.

I dont know how to file for bankruptcy and to be honest i apply for heaps of jobs a week and still… nothing.

mrsbrindaslauthe is that true that you can get loans an repayments are 3% that would help me out alot.

but trust me the recession has hit my part so bad its so hard to get a job
I live in nz as well.

If i could pay my dept i would re locate to another country like the states were its easy to get a job.

Is anyone on here run a business or is in hr and could offer me a job
i could re locate once i figure how to pay my dept off

Reply from Shauna2000 /post/275923-what-to-do#reply-5011063 - Firstly I would advise not to kill yourself. Speak to family and friends as icread has said or mayb someone you feel u could speak to better? A teacher or something?

You are only 18, and mistakes are easily made. Although i wasn’t in as much debt as you are i know that you feel that there is no way out of this mess but i had to get up and find a job and make payment arrangements with debt collectors and try to stick to it!!

I hope you find a way out of this hole.

Reply from icread /post/275923-what-to-do#reply-5011053 -first of all, killing myself would be an option for me… speak to family and friends. Am sure they will help u out.
- Try searching job sites, classifieds, drop your resumes all over the place, ask family friends to put in a word for you. Something might just click you never know.
- Find a hobby. something you like doing. This will keep your mind of your present situation. You could get a pet. Nothing big, even a fish or a turtle. Nothing high maintenance.
- And again, trust me, no matter what the situation, killing oneself is never the solution.
