[Help] So guys, my mum's wedding is coming up real soon and she's pressurising me to lose ... That is seriously wrong. This user posted anonymously. If you happen to know their name, or think you do, keep it to yourself! We do not want to know it.

And anonymous, if you feel good about yourself, that’s great. But your mum is right. She is going about it in all the wrong ways. She is pressurising you about a wedding. NOT the right reasons. However, you do need to lose weight if you want to be healthy. Especially for the age which you are. Tell your mum that you appreciate her concern, but it would be wrong to crash diet just to lose weight to fit into a dress at her wedding. Tell her you would love to come up with a long term plan though with a healthy goal at the end, and her help would be much appreciated. And you will not be able to give up cheese entirely, but you realise it’s unhealthy that you eat it too much, and you will not have it every day, but only a few times a week in moderation.

Maybe keep a food diary with your mum so that you can both monitor your progress, and she will stop harping on at you as she will feel you are trying.

Reply from xlaraelizabeth /post/275983-so-guys-my-mums-wedding-is#reply-5011503 I am four ft 8 ” and up until now i have been perfectly happy with my body. I have had multiple boyfriends and the beach is my favourite hangout. But do you really think cutting all carbs is the right idea? What if i go anorexic? It’s a real worry for me, but apparently not for my mother. As for “szkh”, i don’t know who you are but please stop harassing my profile, i have every right to have you reported.

Reply from Gynan Tonix /post/275983-so-guys-my-mums-wedding-is#reply-5011486 usually i’d say you don’t have to listen to other people’s opinions, as long as you feel good about yourself…

but 200 pounds at age 16? unless you’re really tall, that is a serious health-issue, and your mum’s right. hasn’t got anything to do with the wedding though
