I hate my homework.
I don’t know. people say they love homework, or they can bear with it cause’ it helps them. I can tell you, it doesn’t help me at all.
I do my homework during school hours, during my classes, while my teachers are teaching. Is that really helpful? No, it isn’t. It means I’m not totally focusing, and all this other stuff. I can’t really do anything, but I try to manage everything as best as possible, and I learned to work super fast. I take all the highest courses, but I have my homework done in less than an hour when I get home. I work on it at school, in lunchstudy, and on busrides just to get it done.

Reply from jh14591 /post/282239-everyone-whines-and-complains-about#reply-5053581 I always enjoyed homework, and if you manage your time properly you will have enough time for everything. I have to say that your homework is a lot more important than sports, guitar, or walking your dog. You are preparing for the future. I know that homework can be stressful (Try my juggling routine, I’m a senior in my university, I’m a single mother, I work two jobs, and I volunteer at the humane society.. I also play guitar, go to the park with my kid, and stay involved in the community) but your teachers are teaching you how to manage your life and keep your priorities in order. Yes, you have two pages of math each night, and a report due on friday. But you can do it. Try this: Make a schedule for yourself- get a daily planner and schedule out your time- all of it- time for playing guitar, time for homework, even schedule time in for showers and meals. You can always multitask. I normally do my homework while I’m eating or cooking- and I study my book before bed. I arrange playing guitar as a reward for myself after I finished everything else. If you feel overloaded by your class load, instead of throwing a fit, go to your teacher after class, and quietly and RESPECTFULLY explain your situation, e.g. ” Mrs. Smith, I hate to ask, but I am feeling incredibly overloaded between the homework you assign and my other obligations. I know that you are assigning it to help us understand the material, but I am so busy trying to finish homework, I don’t feel like I am spending more time crying than learning the material. Is their anyway you could lessen the load or give me some extensions. I want to do well in your class, I just am having trouble managing.” If she says no, then you have to deal with it. You have time to eat. Just eat while you are doing your homework. Extracurricular activities like sports are not as important as making good grades and preparing for higher education and a good career, unless your planning on being a professional athlete or a musician. Then you need to pick one and drop the other- you aren’t going to be a professional athlete who’s also a world famous guitar player.

What research shows that homework doesn’t help your grade? Can you find the actual research? Because homework is a great way of committing things to memory. It helps you transfer knowledge into long term memory and get used to the flow of the work.

Reply from ~LazyDaze~ /post/282239-everyone-whines-and-complains-about#reply-5051002 Fact of life, school means homework, yeah it’s a pain and yeah there will be times when you feel it is unfair and times when you get hardly any at all but school life is only a small fraction of your life, it will be gone before you know it and then like the rest of us you will be wishing you could go back again :P

OH and just a side note you may wish to refer to in future, “Everyone whines and complains about homework; it’s part of America’s culture” This site is not just America, even though America likes to believe it is the sole country in the world, it is not and other countries do not enjoy homework either.
