[Help] rant again... Updates to this post /post/283121-rant-again Thu, 26 Nov 2009 23:17:08 +0100 Reply from khalil.abdusala /post/283121-rant-again#reply-5056956

You still live with here?
Me, no. but she still calls to make sure I’ve eaten three meals, brushed my teeth three times a day, remembered to change the oil in my car, etc. Whenever I make a colorful joke to my dad she gives me the stare only a mother has, and whenever I make bad decisions she is quick to yell at me and then help me out.

I moved out as soon as I turned 18 because I wasn’t even allowed to spend an overnight with friends. I was never allowed to go to parties or drive outside of town. My parents were very strict.
do you know that you have a great mom..my advice for you to keep listen to her..you are very lucky person on this earth to have such that kind of mothers..wish u all the best

uhmm, yeah running away is a bad idea.
trust me.
i’ve tried it.
i don’t reccomend it.
you may not like your parents but your better off with a roof over your head then living on the streets.

Reply from jh14591 /post/283121-rant-again#reply-5056711 I’m 24 and my mom is STILL like that. I have a child of my own now and I understand… it is just because she loves you. My dad had a motto that made a lot of sense, “You are always gonna love your kid, but you want to raise them so that others can love and respect them too.” She’s protective b/c it’s maternal instinct.
