Me, no. but she still calls to make sure I’ve eaten three meals, brushed my teeth three times a day, remembered to change the oil in my car, etc. Whenever I make a colorful joke to my dad she gives me the stare only a mother has, and whenever I make bad decisions she is quick to yell at me and then help me out.

uhmm, yeah running away is a bad idea.
trust me.
i’ve tried it.
i don’t reccomend it.
you may not like your parents but your better off with a roof over your head then living on the streets.

I have a child of my own now and I understand… it is just because she loves you. My dad had a motto that made a lot of sense, “You are always gonna love your kid, but you want to raise them so that others can love and respect them too.” She’s protective b/c it’s maternal instinct.
