Reply from nabiwieya.abba /post/284911-i-feel-so-trapped-i-don82#reply-5200549 You are wise for questioning the meaning of your life, and no I do not believe either that we were born to work 5 days for 8 hours each day. We are living in a secular society with the absence of the real meaning of a God. The one who has created us, for which we show absolutely no gratitude. The system today is designed to trap people to take up their time so that they may forget that they exist only through the mercy of their Creator. In that way we become totally reliant on the system who can then control us as they wish. My advice to you would be to discover your Creator from the best source possible. I am not trying to put ideas into you head but do not focus on just on sect but all without any prejudices.

May you find peace and truth in your life.

Reply from matakitak /post/284911-i-feel-so-trapped-i-don82#reply-5071020 18 is too young to know for sure what you want to do with your life, that’s pretty normal, but believe me whatever you decide to do now, it’s never too late to make a change if it doesn’t work out. There’s heaps of pressure in life to know ‘what you are going to do with your life’ but life is an evolution. For sure, what you believe now may not hold true for you when you are 30. You shouldn’t be afraid of making a decision, as long as it was based on a solid foundation of reason and is an honorable choice. Sadly the world we live in demands that we trade our time for money to support ourselves, you can’t escape it. Fair to say that if you knuckle down and study now you will have far more options in your future and then you will be able to realize your dreams of travel and fulfillment. Going to university is a liberating and mind expanding experience and if you have the opportunity you should go for it. Maybe you will discover your passion and then you can spend you life following it. If you quit now you might just end up flipping burgers, exactly the thing you are hoping to avoid!
If you have a gap year you should work for 6 months, save your money and travel for a while and then come home and go back to school.

Good luck.
