if i wasnt friends with these people i wouldnt be friends with anyone and i’m moving soon so i just want to enjoy the time i have here and not sit around on my own.
which is why i want to go to whatever i’m invited to and if the only way to enjoy it is to resort to drugs then it’s a risk i’ll take just for now.

Don’t you have interests or hobbies? Drawing/artwork, playing puter games, model building? This sounds so unnessessary to be hurting yourself in such away to just tolerate an situation you are not forced to be in.

Sounds kinda awkward to me, they are your friends, but you don’t like their company? Lemme ask you, if they were anyone else, would you give them the time of day? Would you invest your time and effort into the relationship? Sounds like you are in the middle of a transition and you have one foot in the comfort zone and the other one is waiting to expand your horizons without them…

It seems to me that you are allowing your time to be wasted in the company of those you’d rather not be around, but for a lack of anything better to do… dude… would you like that said or done to you? ( Not saying anything about you, just trying to get you to think of your situation… it’s not worth drugs. )

It’s only till i move away then i’m probably going to lose contact forever. until then though, i just need something to make me really enjoy the party rather than just tolerate it.

Can I ask why you are going and why you would participate in a party that you know you won’t have fun at because in your post you mentioned that you don’t want to go, and that you don’t like the people that are going? This makes no sense to me, does it you?

Why force yourself into situations that make you uncomfortable, and then choose to check out by getting high? Sounds like you are lowering your standards and settling for second best in life.

If you don’t want to go, no one says you have to, and frankly if you can think of something better to do, then do it. Following the crowd and doing what they do isn’t going to get you ahead in life because after the party is gone, real life sets in, and if you find yourself in trouble, your friends aren’t going to stick around and help you out of it. It’s every man for himself and it’s better that you take care of yourself now so you can be healthy and make responsible and wise choices for your future.
Stay safe. There are other ways that are truly enjoyable and are fun.

I say this because in the United States, codeine containing medicines are available only through prescription. In most every other country, Canada, England, France, Spain, you can get low dose over the counter drugs containing codeine. Codeine is an opiate, can be addicting. OTC pills contain in conjunction with Tylenol, and Tylenol will poison you in high doses. CWE takes care of this though. Google it.
