[Help] Homai te pakipaki! Updates to this post /post/285655-homai-te-pakipaki Fri, 27 Nov 2009 09:55:38 +0100 Reply from korufr /post/285655-homai-te-pakipaki#reply-5122573 1) Homai te paki paki means ‘give a clap’. It is also currently a NZ kareoke show, which of course encourages people to…’paki paki’and is the Maori language.
2) Our people are NOT (aboriginal people of New Zealand)
3) Maori people are the indigenous people of New Zealand, very strong, and very proud culture and race. Proud to be a part of that.
4) Wikipedia’s interpretation of Australian Aborigines: ( æbəˈrɪdʒɪni (help·info), aka Aboriginal Australians) are a class of people who are identified by Australian law as being members of a race indigenous to the Australian continent.

In the High Court of Australia, Australian Aborigines have been specifically identified as a group of people who share, in common, biological ancestry back to the original occupants of this continent.[2]
