ive met alot of skitzofrenics that like roleplaying like dungons and dragons warcraft etc and there are public groups for such events

Hi i have been married to a schizophrenic with a dissociative identity disorder for 2 years and together for 4 and the one thing i can tell you is they have no empathy so emotions from them are far n few in between ..Take what u get or you can read into the things they do for you as that emotion its a better indicator..They sleep alot more than normal because of the medications they are on usually..My husbands on paxil and seroquel It usually makes him sleep between 10-18 hours..Dont try and make him go out or be around others because that will only make him not want to be around you and all that pushing..His mind is chaotic and he sounds to have a fear of groups as most do.. My husband doesnt like to meet new people or sometimes even see old friends because he has the fear everyones got an agenda..To be honest i think you should talk to your boyfriend and see what he is able to feel comfterble doing with you besides sitting at his house who knows maybe he will surprise you..Hope all goes well and if u have any questions please feel free to ask me anytime Myself or my husband will gladly try n help

He just told me last night after almost 2 yrs
I love him so im willing to look passed it and accecpt who he is
But don’t push him find little things…a house party with a couple friends (email removed)

WOW it was like you were reading my relationship. my bf of 2 1/2 years is schizophrenic and i think he is agoraphobic (fear of situations in large crowds). when we first started dating it didn’t seem to be so bad, we went out to lots of bars and parties and hung out with friends, but his condition has gotten really bad over the last 8 months, he sleeps 12 hour days, doesnt go to work, its summer and he doesnt leave the house at all not even to enjoy the weather. i sleep over at his place ever weekend and in 2 1/2 years he has only stayed at my house once! hate it so much!!!! i feel like a horrible person for thinking this i mean i love him so much but i dont know if i can handle all his issues anymore!!!!!!!!

He doesn’t much care for having people over unless he knows about it waaay in advance. He plays airsoft and his airsoft buddies come over every other weekend. He tells me that he loves me and wants to be with me but then basically ignores me. I really do care for him but I’m starting to wonder if he really wants to be in this relationship. I’m at my wit’s end.

well. i dunno. i don’t think you should push him to go anywhere really, just go out with your friends without him, and spend time alone with him.
