Reply from Mr. P /post/286890-i-am-in-need-of-help#reply-5081951 No, 1/5 * 5/18 = 5/90 = 1/18

6/7 is simply the final fraction which you have to multiply that 1/18 by. Does that make sense? :-)

how did u get 1/5*5/18?
[/quote]

Okay, so when you have

1/5 * 5/18 * 6/7

you want to multiply two term at a time. Essentially you do:

(1/5 * 5/18) * 6/7

which is

1/5 * 5/18

followed by multiplying by 6/7.

As you can see this breaks the problem up into two term sets which can be easily multiplied together. Reply back if you still need help. :-)

Reply from Mr. P /post/286890-i-am-in-need-of-help#reply-5081870 3/15 * 5/18 * 6/7

First we reduce what we can…

1/5 * 5/18 * 6/7

Then we multiply…

1/5 * 5/18 = 1/18

1/18 * 6/7 = 6/126 = 1/21

Hope this helps! Reply with any questions. :-)
