[Help] Trying to figure out my path at 53. Updates to this post /post/287069-trying-to-figure-out-my-path-at-53 Thu, 26 Nov 2009 17:50:55 +0100 Reply from jwilton /post/287069-trying-to-figure-out-my-path-at-53#reply-5105214 i started a small business 2 years ago - and guess what? I’m about to go bankrupt. Nothing wrong with the idea - just got the timing wrong. Ah! If we could all see into the crystal ball….. any, my point:Yes I have challenged myself and lived on the edge. I have travelled the world, lived in different countries, had 3 children, lost a son, had cancer, divorced 2 husbands…. but I have learnt that the gifts in life are my children/friends…. they are who comfort me when I am down, give me joy and grief and all those other “feelings” that make me know I am alive.

Tomorrow is always another day - and tomorrow I will walk along the beach, one step at a time and see what the tide brings in.

The adventure is eciting isn’t it?

Reply from labellevie50 /post/287069-trying-to-figure-out-my-path-at-53#reply-5083826 Start a small business. The economy is tough now but if you have a good business idea. Why not?

My grandfather started a cloth business during the Great Depression and it was very successful as people were resorting to making their own clothing.
