Reply from i_like_shoe /post/288594-my-parents-wont-listen-to-me#reply-5093559 Have you spoken to your parents about it and asked them to respect your privacy? If not it might be worth it. As long as you’re not going off the rails, they should trust you and the fact they have raised a responsible 15 year old.
If you have tried this/what ever you do keep you’re chin up. Being 15 is hard! but being 15 is great too. You can get through it :)

Reply from Victoria Sponge /post/288594-my-parents-wont-listen-to-me#reply-5093555
It is difficult to be 15 and you are going through a lot right now and it can be tough and believe it or not, your parents understand but they just want to make sure everything is okay with you. My dad always told me and I believe it to this day that if you cannot tell someone something, you should not be doing it so think about what you are keeping from your parents. Yes, you have the right to not tell them some things but think of why you do not want to tell them and be honest with yourself. I am 31 and can look back at being 15 and I did so much and my parents were very strict. You do live with them and right now you have to live under their roof but talk to them and see if you can come to some type of agreement. Your parents just want the best for you and if I had come to that realization at that age, my life would have been so much easier.
This is such fabulous advice, also I wanted to add, that you should know what they are doing is looking out for you they are doing it all with your best interests at heart and not to be mean,

don’t make the girl cry. what her parents are doing is very mean and not good for her mental health.

Reply from Anonymous /post/288594-my-parents-wont-listen-to-me#reply-5093530 yeah my mum did that - read through my diary…she was then annoyed at me because of what I wrote in it! - if she hadn’t read it she wouldn’t have had a problem. My parents are also strict and mean.
Anyway - I know its really unfair, but there are ways around it. could you hide you diary outside of your home somewhere safe??
