Reply from Victoria Sponge /post/290059-school-leaver-jobs-recession#reply-5105293 Good luck I hope it helps and even to this day despite the crappy uniform sainsburys was the most fun job I had, there were just loads of other school leavers and people of similar age and we had such a laugh, so do rule that one out

Are you looking for any work in particular, I know many supermarkets are looking and at your age I had the most brilliant fun worknig in Sainsbury’s over the summer, are you a confident swimmer, I know lifeguards get good wages, and many pools will pay for your lifeguard safety course, or you could contact your local council and ask about playschemes I know my friends done that when we left school and you just need to be good with children and have no criminal record, again most councils will pay for your health and safety course[/quote]

I know, it’s a really bad time to leave :(
I’m not really looking for anything in particular, just any part time job that pays a wage so that I’ve earned my own money and have something to take up to college with me when I start. I’m only a confident swimmer in certain depths of water (I tend to stick to more shallow water lol). I never thought of contacting my local council…I’ll try that :D

Thank you so much!
