[Help] Is it crazy to pursue a long distance relationship?

Anyway, to be honest, I would say that this is probably a bad idea. Relationships are hard enough without adding hundreds of miles in between! My boyfriend only lives three miles down the road from me, but we go to different colleges, so we’re in a long-distance relationship during the school year. We still get to see each other about three times a month, though, because our colleges aren’t ridiculously far apart. And we’ve been best friends for years before we started going out, so we actually know each other very well in person… and it’s STILL very hard!!! I don’t think it’s worth it, honey :-/ Personally, I think it’s a bad idea, and a bit silly, to get into a relationship with someone you’ve never met, and it’s doubly bad when they live so far away.

Well, the last real relationship I was in lasted about 7 years. We were engaged and then realized we weren’t happy so we ended it. I wouldn’t consider that wasted time, but I understand what you’re saying.

Hmm this is so hard. WHen I was in the relationship it seemed amazing and unbreakable, worth all the blood sweat and tears. When I got out of it it felt like I’d just wasted some important years of my life for a dream that never could come true.

I guess I say follow your heart but dont lose your mind, reality and passion must coincide for life to be fufilling.

I would be willing to move for the right guy. I’m crazy about him…life is so complicated.

I did a ldr for about a year, he was 600 miles away, it sucked not having someone around when you needed them the most. We decided to move in together so we could psychically be together, but that went sour and within 6 months I went back home. Ldr’s can work, but when it comes down to it, one of you will end up having to move to be together.

aww man, I am going through the same thing. Its like, we work soooooo well together and he wants it to happen between us but at the same time it is so far and i am so not leaving home. Me and my mom have become best friends and i love my family.
