I moved in with a few roommates into a basment apartment with this college classmate. her parents own the house, we rented the basement, and she turned into a total **** rag and had people over EVERY night and acted like we were assholes for asking for a lil privacy.

best tip - keep the “landlord/tenant” relationship very impersonal. never move into a place that one person owns and want to rent a room or something like that. it’s CRAP. rent from an outside party with friends as roommates to help pay rent. never mix the two.
