[Help] I feel so sad and feel like crying. Updates to this post /post/318648-i-feel-so-sad-and-feel-like-crying Sun, 21 Mar 2010 17:01:34 +0100 Reply from publi /post/318648-i-feel-so-sad-and-feel-like-crying#reply-5281284 Oh - also, here are some inspiring places to hang out:

The Fluent Self - maybe start at http://www.fluentself.com/blog/habits…

Comfort Queen - http://www.comfortqueen.com/

And get any book by Sark, they’re so healing. She has a website at http://www.planetsark.com/, but you can get all her books on Amazon.

And have some virtual hugs from me. I’ve been where you are. I know how much it sucks.

Reply from publi /post/318648-i-feel-so-sad-and-feel-like-crying#reply-5281280 This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

~Rumi

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon…
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Reply from Anonymous /post/318648-i-feel-so-sad-and-feel-like-crying#reply-5281276 There is nothing wrong with feeling sad or crying… it’s just another emotion and reaction to an emotion just like feeling happy and laughing…. Have a good cry… then treat yourself to a hot soak in a bubble bath and count your blessings…. bet if you think about it you’ve got loads of them! Good luck.

It’s up to you to interpret what the stars would be a metaphor for in this sense.

Also why not give it a whirl..have a good cry, it may help you feel better.

Reply from linuxya /post/318648-i-feel-so-sad-and-feel-like-crying#reply-5281243 The world is better off now than it ever has been. More people are fed and educated, more women and minorities are advancing, more freedom in press and expression than ever in the history of the planet.

There is less likelihood of global conflict than ever before. More world trade, more globalization of business, more interdependence, more acceptance of other cultures, more connectedness through communications than ever before.
