They definitely avoid any visible panty line (also known as VPL) which is always extremely tacky in my view. However, having a thong show above a pant or skirt waistband definitely is not classy. While it does get get the attention of the boys, it never gets their respect.

As a man, I think thongs can be sexy, but flashing them to the people around you is not so good an idea. However a solution exists. If you are wearing low-rise jeans or skirt that sit on your hips and not your waist, make sure you get the low-rise style thongs. That way, nobody will see what they shouldn’t and call you trashy.
