Reply from candp /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5318923 Dr. Ralph, The research project was updated in a two hour documentary in September, titled “The Human Family Tree”. In their earlier research they figured humans were around for about 60,000 years. Now research has shown them humans have been around about 200,000 years.

There is a tribe in Africa today where there DNA has never been mixed with any migratory DNA because several humans chose to stay put over these 200,000 years and their DNA shows them being direct descendants of Scientific Adam and Scientific Eve (That is what they referred to them as in this past Documentary.) They, in no way. imply these were the first two humans. They claimed these two were the first to have their DNA carry through to the present. It is all so very interesting. Whether one chooses to believe we are from aliens or the Divine, what this proves is that we are not as separate, or different as we seem to think we are. Carol

Reply from Dr. Ralph /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5318900 Yeah I have seen the map that shows the different DNA strains and where they migrated to. All from the same starting place though. Kind of reinforces the idea that extra terrestrial’s dropped off a seedling to populate the earth. Or God. Mitichondrial Adam & Eve I think they are called. U.S. News and World Report covered this back in 2001.

Reply from candp /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5318718 BTW, if you cannot find the documentary, National Geographic Magazine, Sept 09 issue covered this story. If you are in the US the library would probably have it.

Reply from candp /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5318711 Go to National Geographics website and see if you can find a documentary that aired last month titled, “The Human Family Tree”. This project has been going on for about ten years now. The worlds best Geneticists are scouring the globe for DNA samples, funded by IBM, and what our DNA is demonstrating is that we all come from the same root DNA of two people that existed about 200,000 years ago. The documentary traces how our species broke off into different groups that migrated across the globe. Turns out our skin color and features were genetically affected due to climate, not superiority, as far too many like to believe. Hope this helps. Carol

All humans alive today trace back to them, no matter what your race or nationality. How separate are we really? Carol[/quote]

Do you have any links to the information about that discovery Candp?

We were gone for quite a while and when we came back we noticed how this site has deteriorated. At present, we really don’t have an admin to talk with that can take care of any site problems. Perhaps in the future. Until then, we have to enjoy what is left of it. Carol

Reply from ameliad /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5303435 Thanks Carol. For years I just let the doctors do what they wanted, but I’ve realised that even they can have other things on their mind, so sometimes you have to take a bit of control in order to set your mind at ease.

And thank you for the welcome, there’s a lovely community here on help.com

Reply from ameliad /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-5302954 I think in the case of doctors (any maybe everything) there is no such thing as a stupid question. So many docs these days spend very little time with their patients, but you’re paying money to see them, so make sure you get things checked out and feel assured of everything when you leave. Cancer is one of the most horrible illnesses out there, and taking the time to get a check up can save your life.

Thanks so much for posting this Candp.

Reply from dreamaddict /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-3129577 The cure for cancer has to be invented- fast!

not only breast cancer, but all types..
a few days ago my grandmother died of pancreatic cancer, and she was only diagnosed with it two weeks before her death.
Pancreatic cancer is one (if not the most) of the types of cancer which are very hard to diagnose, and even harder to cure.

I just want to add that in general, for all issues, if you don’t feel good you should speak up. Women are often stereotyped as “complainers” and many refrain from mentioning “little things” because of it. I personally waited too long to get myself checked out because I tried to brush of my symptoms as simply “little things”. Makes it a lot worse in the long run. Always, always better safe than sorry.

Good health to all!

Reply from Unknown User /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-2983768 Cady…lol.

Also - let this be my shameless plug regarding women’s health - the FDA has recently approved an HPV vaccine for women under the brand name “Gardasil”. In addition to being responsible for genital warts, HPV is also one of the leading causes of cervical cancer. While the vaccine doesn’t guard against all forms of HPV, it does work for the more serious kind, which are the ones linked to cancer. It is recommended for all women ages 16-26 and, fortunately, they have also begun work on a separate vaccine for men.

Reply from cady /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-2983767 Yes, it’s frightening how much we and our physicians still don’t know. Unfortunately, only by trial and error do we even discover some things.

Reply from candp /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-2983762 Mitz, if you watch the video link this type of cancer is not detected by feeling a lump or regular mammograms. That is why this is so very important to spread around the awareness of it.

Reply from cady /post/85190-candp-invites-all-users-to-help-pre#reply-2983760 Well, fortunately for me, if I see one of the symptoms listed, “rapid increase in breast size”, it will be incredibly obvious considering the size of mine now. SO I’ll keep an eye out for that!

My fiance’s mother’s cancer started there and spread to her stomach and lungs. She died from it over 2 years ago. My aunt also died from breast cancer about 1 year ago. She only knew about it for 10 months when she died. It does kill very rapidly, so all you ladies out there get checked!!!
