But I can’t really think of any successful examples.

But I have to agree with gimli, what global peace are we talking about? There is suffering and murder/genocide happening on a massive scale throughout the world in many cases it is just unreported (Congo for example where 1200 people die every day) Half of them are children (as if that matters - but people for some reason tend to think of women and children as somehow special cases - something I don’t subscribe to).

And I don’t think it is information technology that keeps the wars away.
