[Help] I just quit smoking, again. Updates to this post /post/96727-i-just-quit-smoking-again Sun, 08 Nov 2009 20:41:23 +0100 Reply from Unicity /post/96727-i-just-quit-smoking-again#reply-3120699 Okay, So what is that? Two Weeks and Two Days? Still not smoking, and to be honest I only think about it two to three times a day. Usually when the wife & kids used to come home from school. Dinner-time, you know. I’m still a housewife at heart. Miss it terribly.

Reply from OccultPizz /post/96727-i-just-quit-smoking-again#reply-3101539 I am the same way. I put down the Camel Non-Filters twelve years ago and haven’t picked then up since.

Whatever works man! Whatever a person needs to muster the will to better their existance and make for a happy longevity of life! I don’t care if it is Jesus, Allah or the holy doorknob of karnak, if it helps better you, and doesn’t violate another being’s space then make it so!

As long as we are alive we have a chance to better ourselves. I have that same kind of will, and I am using it right now ~smiles~.

Reply from Unicity /post/96727-i-just-quit-smoking-again#reply-3101490 In terms of genetics I had two great-grandmothers who lived to be ninety-eight & ninety nine respectively plus my biological father is eighty-three.

I’m a retired homicide investigator who worked last for the Office of the Medical Examiner, Florida’s 19th Judicial District, so I’m more than aware of the medical implications, but …

That said I’m quitting because it bothers my fiance- Not to mention, It bothers me and hasn’t truly been satisfying since about 1961. I remember one cigarette that actually tasted good.

Reply from Enilorac /post/96727-i-just-quit-smoking-again#reply-3101443 Well done Unicity! Also, if you ever feel an extreme need for a ciggy (yuck!), think of this: My grandpa on my dad’s side died when I was eight….*sniff* *cry* I still miss him….he used to smoke. Didn’t live a very long life. And my grandma on my mom’s side? She died at age 59. I never met her. She smoked and drank a LOT! BAM! Died of cancer when she was 59. Mom said Grandma would have ADORED me. Can’t do much adoring now, can she? Stupid ciggies! (LOL, ciggies.) Sad, huh? You don’t want your family to go through that, do you? Keep yourself healthy, please. I’m happy you quit.
