  It is normal to feel bad about it.
  
  I don’t tell people that they SHOULD stop and get in the middle of fights because you can put yourself in danger that way. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t try to help anyway. If you knew that others were calling 911, that was fine to leave because there’s no point in flooding the 911 lines with multiple calls over one incident. Also, since you were with your mother, HER first priority is to protect you and stopping to help could have put you in danger, so I’m glad that she kept driving.

  Thank you, but it’s a funny thing about my love of writing: I hate writing about myself. I project myself into my characters a lot, but I hate keeping any sort of diary or journal. I don’t even really like writing letters and if I do, I rarely mail them. I might enjoy seeing a page out of your book though. It could inspire me regardless.

  Look for dietary and environmental triggers to your panic attacks. I found that whenever my blood sugar gets low or if I have too much caffeine or get dehydrated, it feels exactly like a legitimate panic attack. Sometimes, eating whole grain foods also makes me feel like I’m having a panic attack. You might still be having true anxiety attacks, but controlling your diet can help reduce them.

  That is strange that she can’t have visitors up until the very end. When my grandmother was in hospice, her children and grandchildren were by her side until her very last breath.
  
  Just remember, Mas, (although it is still painful) that no good person ever wills a child to suffer or die, but God works in mysterious ways and if He has chosen to take this child, then there is a purpose. Perhaps instead of fighting it with your prayers, you can simply ask God to do His will and to help you and the parents to understand why He would do this thing.

• Hip replacements..
  

  Joy, is it possible that you were born with immature hips, also known as developmental dysplatia of the hips?
  
  When I was born, my hip socket wasn’t completely formed yet. At that time, they treated immature hips by putting three cloth diapers on the baby (me) at a time to keep the legs from developing crossing each other. They later found that babies who were treated that way still did not develop completely correctly and often ended up with juvenile arthritis in their hips, or other generalized pain from the ball and socket forming and rubbing improperly. I had a lot of pain in my right hip starting in junior high and it still haunts me sometimes. I also had a lot of days in high school when it was excruciating to walk or to sit for long periods of time, and my hip to this day pops a lot.
  
  If I were you, I would try finding a good doctor who will really investigate what’s going on and see if they won’t recommend a good physical therapist for you or some exercises you can do to retrain the muscles in your legs to move a certain way which will relieve the rubbing of the bones.

  As for the turkey, you did not kill it and it would have died whether you had eaten a piece of it or not. You are not responsible for its death.
  
  What does bother me, though, is that your friends did not make you eat the meat. You gave in to the pressure. You’re responsible for your own decision. That’s why parents spend entire childhoods trying to tell each kid to be their own person and not give in to peer pressure. If you have a set of values, you should be sticking to them and you should definitely not be hanging around people who intentionally try to get you to break your own moral code.

  You can only get hurt if you allow yourself to expect more out of the relationship than he’s offering. If you want a committed relationship and he wants to remain a free spirit, you could be setting yourself up to get hurt. However, if you’re just looking for a buddy to make out with every once in a while and he’s up for that, no problem. Also, if he’s looking to settle down (which I kind of doubt, but it’s possible) and that’s what you want from him, then it could be worth trying out.
  
  But to be honest, I think that you’re making this very complicated. You’re asking the wrong people whether he’s worth something pursuing a relationship and you haven’t even said what kind of relationship it is that you really want. Just feel it out. It seems like that’s what he’s doing. Let go of your expectations and either allow things to happen or stop when things get uncomfortable.

  It’s hard to tell if he’s a jerk or not. From your story, it honestly just sounds like a guy in college who is enjoying himself and not necessarily being committed, which is fine although people sometimes get hurt unintentionally. There’s nothing really wrong with him making out with more than one girl as long as he’s not committed to someone else.
