in that case what you should do is contact Lexmark and see what there support has to say. I’m not sure what else to tell you for this. Like I had said just try uninstalling all printers, and then install this printer.

Yes that is my only problem. i got it from the internet. its a lexmark z611. i cant find the printer type when i click on printers they dont have mine. but i looked under lexmark and i found which one to download. so when i go to set it up thats what it tells me , no inf.

not that i know of… What error’s are you having, or what is not happening? because it may be as simple as uninstalling all of the software that came with the printer, and the printer driver and reinstalling it.

With safe mode, what you need to do is turn your pc off.
When you turn it back on, as soon as you press the power button start tapping the F8 key, this should bring you top the advanced boot options, then select start windows normaly…

If that does not work, once the pc is loaded into windows go:
Start\Run
in the run program type in: msconfig
-make sure it is exactly as shown above
when the system configuration utility comes up it should be on the “general” tab.
on that tab neer the top there should be 3 selections. Be sure that you select Normal startup.(probably the top selection)

once that is selected click aply, then okay.
then if asked if you want to restart now or later select “restart”\”restart now”

then the pc will automaticly restart and that should bring it back to normal windows.

hello again roulston, i did what you said and i got it to go to the desktop but it said no file selected. do you know anything else about safe mode ,i did what you said ,should i hit the f8 before i sign on to aol or after or does it matter it didn;t seem to do anything. thank you so much for your help i must be a pain in the butt!!!! debbie

So what you would need to do is when you go to open the attachment there should be another option to “save” the attachment to your pc. chose this option then once it is on the pc, tryopening it then.

hello roulston, thanks for the help. i believe the problem is what you said about the file. how do i go about putting the letter or attachment in a file to open it ? i believe it said something about that at one time. thanks again deb

I’ll see what I can do about your e-mail issue, but first about your name.
If you are a verified member, you can go into your settings page. Along the top of the screen there is a selection: “Account Admin”
That will bring up a menu and select “settings” in the settings page you can change the user name, so just add the other “2″.

For the e-mail issue do you get any error messages?
What are the attachment types? (doc, pic, programs, etc.)
