  Um, I’d just like to say that the person who said that is definately not a Pagan. She may say she is, but she is not.
  
  First of all, one is simply not a ‘Pagan’. Pagan is an umbrella term for a group of vaguely similar religions that existed long ago whose practices have been lost. These days, one can belong to a Neopagan religion - that is an attempt to reconstruct one of the religions from long ago.
  
  Second, no true Pagan would say something that ignorant, judgmental, and disrespectful, as in general that would go completely against their beliefs.
  
  Plus, if they are a Pagan, than they belong to a religion, albeit not a regular one. That would be a very hypocritical thing for them to say.
  
  Anyways, I think that that statement can often be true, but it really depends on the person and why they are a part of the religion. If they’ve never thought about the world and just accepted whatever they were first told, that is usually laziness. But often, people have thought hard about the world and come to agree with a particular religion. And that is not laziness.

  Here’s a perspective: reject it if you want.
  
  We all have insecurities. When your dad says things that upset you, the reason they upset you is because he is saying those very things that you are most insecure about.
  
  For example: If you know that you are healthy and skinny, and someone comes along and calls you fat, you will laugh it off because you know it is ridiculous to think you are fat. But if you think you are overweight, or are worried you might be, and someone comes along and calls you fat, you will get very upset because this person is just reinforcing your negative thoughts.
  
  So if you are upset whenever your dad says your band is BS, or has a comment about your friends, it is because you are not so sure about those things yourself.
  
  The fighting is not the problem - it is a symptom of other problems. If you reconcile with yourself who you are, and what you want to be, the fighting will either stop entirely, or you will no longer care when your dad tries to hurt you.
  
  I am not saying conform to what your dad wants from you. Rather I am saying to live with integrity - decide what it is you most want and who you want to be, and then go get it.

  Where you are located has a huge impact on how easy or difficult a homosexual lifestyle will prove to be. If you don’t already, you could always move to a street, a city, or a country where gays are accepted.
  
  I would make sure you tell the people closest to you first. You don’t want your parents to find out from someone else! Be honest with those you care about, and be accepting of those who struggle with this new version of you. After all, you are asking them to accept you; try to understand their perspective as they try to understand yours.

  Hey everybody,
  
  Thanks for all the advice, I’ve decided I will read the parable.
  
  You all raised a lot of good points: thanks so much!
  
  I’d just like to clarify a couple things about my school, however. I live in Canada, as you may or may not know, and specifically in Ontario. So the Catholic system is not a private school - it’s a religious version of the public school. I don’t wear a uniform, and people of all faiths are allowed to go because it is publicly funded.
  
  I wasn’t forced to go, I chose to go, despite the fact that I didn’t want to take religion. My other school option was a public school, but it is old and run down, and a family friend who is a police officer told us not to go there. It has high sucide rates, drug rates, etc. and just generally a lot of things I didn’t want to deal with.
  
  Those things obviiusly still exist in the Catholic school, but they are not as pronounced, and there are so many people attending it that you can choose who you hang out with. Also, the Catholic school was newly built, it’s only now 6 years old, while the other school was old and run down, and built in the middle of nowhere.
  
  So yeah, I think things are quite different here.

  Is the section you’re reading not from the Torah, or the Talmud(excuse spelling)?
  
  If it is, you should be able to look it up, either on the internet, or if you have a copy at home.

  Well, you’ve still got over a month, so if you get to work you should definately have time to memorize it.
  
  I would suggest not wasting any time until you have it memorized.
