  Anonymous, all I can say is wow.
  I know the basic deal of it all, it’s just that I’ve heard so many misconceptions that I had my doubts.
  I didn’t post this to get a response from a smart-*** like you.

  No, she’s more friends with him than she is with me.
  She has a boyfriend, also…
  Like, he gave me a logical explanation for everything, but ughhhh…
  It bothers me, and you know…the only person who tells me otherwise is that girl’s best friend. Her best friend has a history of trying to break us up.
  Like, before we started going out, she would tell him stuff about me, so he wouldn’t go out with me, you know? She also used to like him when I did…
  We had stopped talking less and less when I started going out with him, then we became friends again and she told me this…so yeah. Oh, the best friend of the girl, by the way.

  Just take her out somewhere nice.
  By nice, I don’t mean somewhere fancy. I mean somewhere you two have fun and just a happy enviroment.
  Then, just say something like, “[insert name here], I’ve been wanting to ask you something for a while. Well, I don’t know about you, but I feel something special towards you, much more than just the friend vibe. I’ve been debating whether to ask you or not because I do not want to scare you off or make you change your opinion about me, but I can’t not try it and then regret later that maybe something could have happend. That is why I wanted to ask you, do you want to be my girlfriend?”

  Thanks to all who replied.
  The thing is, these two people no longer talk to each other because of this ordeal. Both of them were best friends, knew each other since kindergarten and everything. So, yeah…that is out of the question.
  
  My gut? I don’t know what it tells me…it tells me that it’s not true, but on the other hand it also tells me it is. I just simply don’t know.
  Ughh, I just hope this won’t affect the rest of my life…
