Sorry, but really I’m done. If anything I just end up wasting time on here with argumentative drunk posts and avoid doing my work.

Okay, got a new one:
41. Go into a comic book store and insist that Batman and Superman are secret gay lovers and that you got your information from a television documentary.

Well, thirty-nine was a flashback gag in the show, and I am almost positive ‘indoor voices’ were in there once, too, but I can’t remember.
I was only fooling anyway.

You got that from Family Guy.
2008-05-22 06:36:29 on writer’s block!
Alas there is no quick-fix cure for this. All you have to do is trudge through it, really.
Haha, I guess I feel old now because I’ll be a senior next year.
Don’t talk about old. I’m twenty-two and all my friends are married and two of the couples have kids and I’m about to graduate from university and go on to Master’s studies and the real world. And I’m still just a kid.
Also, don’t scrap your work. Keep scratching away at it slowly. Just write it down. Don’t worry about it, don’t think about it, don’t let yourself give up on it, just write it.
2008-05-22 05:33:06 on Many people [like myself] think that that ‘little voice in side of you that tells you whats wrong and whats right’ is actually Jesus.
Dude, calm down. Here’s what you don’t seem to understand: No-one is discussing Islam, the Quran, or anything of the sort. You keep bringing it up yourself. While the word ‘Christian’ is not used in the post, it is obvious that the original poster is on a one-track method of thinking and that her belief comes from The Bible. I’m telling her that this idea of Jesus as a conscience does not come from The Bible because it is obvious that The Bible is where she stems her belief due to the fact that she constantly makes mention that she believes in Jesus. She isn’t trying to gain an Islamic perspective on the issue because to her Islam and Jesus don’t mix. That much is blatantly obvious.
Now. I am not saying Jesus does not occur anywhere or that The Quran has no validity. But what you fail to realize is that most people are only familiar with The Bible and that most all of these posts are written from a biblical perspective. When I come on here discussing biblical hermeneutics, it is because I am trying to help them understand things from their own perspective. You on the other hand come to the posts that are purely biblical in nature and throw in things from the Quran that, while still valid, only end up confusing the poster.
Also realize that when I came to this thread I did not read any of the replies. I gave my own opinion based solely on the original poster who obviously holds Christian ideals that stem from a biblical perspective. I was trying to give insight based on her basic understanding of The Bible. Jesus as your conscience does not occur anywhere in biblical text, and whether it does in the Quran or not is invalid because I guarantee the original poster has never bothered to read the Quran or give a thought beyond a separate religion.
It seems that you are the one missing the point, not me. If the post was about the Islamic perspective of Jesus, then I wouldn’t even bother saying anything as I am not entirely familiar with that. But considering the pure majority (most likely a good 98%) of posts that involve Jesus or God stem from a biblical Christian perspective, I am giving my input based on my understanding. Never did I say The Bible was the one-and-only source for Jesus or God as there are plenty of other interpretations, including the Quran. But what gets MY goat is that people who make most claims about Jesus or God come from some basic, narrow belief and understanding of The Bible, and they most likely are just regurgitating their Sunday School classes without going to the text.
Furthermore, The Bible is the SOURCE of Christianity. When discussing Christianity, it seems to me that it only makes sense to go to The Bible. Again, if you opened a thread discussing Islam, I wouldn’t have a thing to say because I understand The Bible, not The Quran. It would be foolish of me to go to a chiefly Islamic discussion and start citing The Bible. For example, to discuss the validity of Muhammad, I would go to The Quran as The Quran is the SOURCE of Islam. It is your text. But if I were to start going to The Bible and discussing what I believed about Muhammad from a biblical perspective, not only would that be an inherently stupid idea, it would make me look entirely foolish. I’m not about to say ‘Muhammad was not a prophet and here is why based on The Bible’ because The Bible is not an Islamic text. It is chiefly Christian.
I don’t understand why you always need to start things with me about my understand of biblical hermeneutics. You need to realize that not everyone is Muslim. Not everyone can look at things from two different sources and perspectives, especially not thirteen year-old girls on Help.com. When discussing things of a chiefly Christian nature, I am going to look to The Bible because The Bible is where Christianity comes from and usually people don’t know how to read it right. Simple as that.

Do it. I honestly recommend to everyone to leave their comfort zone for as long as possible. Then after about ten years, go back. That’s what I’ll be doing once I’m finished with University here in England and the States; go back to Toronto, return to my roots.
