Its basically a hotel room. But there are 4 indoor tennis courts and a track and field out side. Place has everything I need. Food, as long as I show up at meal times, places to excersize, fencing, and TV if I choose to watch it. I also have access to a large movie library.

The snow and ice has been brutal here. I leave for work in 15 mins. What your new crib like?

call my on skype a couple times in a row if I dont answer. And call even if I am off line. Computer is dead. All Skype calls are forwarding to my cell. The forward doesnt always work…

I am learning Chinese. But that could be made a lot easier with Rosetta Stone’s Mandarin.

Most of them live in a bubble. It’s not working for them now:) The banking world needs the working man to feed them and we’re getting selective now. There are big things coming and the stress level of International relations will increase in the future. Increasing the level of communication is a fantastic why to further understand and a working relation. If I were capable..I learn how to speak Chinese. I feel it’s way over my head..lol. Maybe I’m lazy:)

All the more reason to call me… Then its no longer an “online” or “internet” contact.

When I speak to my contacts and I tell them or share with them some of my experiences on the net…their eyes glaze over with a fear and they prejudge or lose interest. Sometimes bureaucrats can be too bureaucratic:)

I am an hour away even if I dont get this new job. Tianjin has a fast train to Beijing. My new job will last for 6 months to a year. But I will have time to work on the side.

It can be very real:) We are doing it with Koreans now. We use to do it with China years ago, but some issues…caused them to leave. Girl babies and the dump..better left in the past.

That could be interesting. I love traveling. Is this hypathetical scenario a real possibility? When would it kick off?

I know people in Beijing, but to send you to them without me or them knowing you completely…they would just look at you funny:)

Let me run a scenario by you. You find a good family that whats to teach English. They are interested in improving China’s foreign image and relations. The start a school here and you co-ordinate the transfer of students back and forth. What are you thoughts on that? You could bounce back and forth and stop working for peanuts.

Socially we are intrigued with China, but politically we have a different culture and values.

Are you going to Beijing?

Having to bring your employer to court is a bad start of a relationship in a foreign country. Any contracts I have to get the labor laws are currently fighting the weather and the first question one asked was why. I’m ignorant to the working conditions in China, but is there other teachers there that can provide support?

I feel that if you have to use the word “court” so soon, you are in the wrong place. We have been working with the Chinese as the future involves them as the largest population in the world. We hope though education and co-operation we can encourage them to respect some of the international issues or laws at present. Let me word it this way….I understand they believe that they are the old race in the world.
They would purchase all the industry and property they could get their hands on, but we don’t feel confident that they would comply or compliment our communities best interest. The idea scenario would be for a good private family purchase a place here to teach English. A school that would provide an environment to foster better learning and good pr for them.

My problem at present is changing employers when my current boss is refusing to let me leave. I need to know China’s immagration and foriegn labor laws and how they relate to my contract and current visa. I think my boss is not following them correctly but, I need to be absolutely certain before taking him to court. I am in Tianjin and the new job is in Beijing.

How are you Sully? What do you need so I can choose who to introduce you too? We have been doing well with selective immigration. It’s not the money thing or education, but skills and heart we look at:)

It was more then a road trip..I down play it in an attempt to keep positive. I invested with these people. They tricked and lied to me and used my back ground as a lever for bargaining. Oh well, walk like a duck, quacks like a duck..geezes I’m stupid. Heart screws the mind all the time. That’s why I wear that avatar:( Some are meant to be what they are meant to be. I’m trying to moving on, but some “thing” is stopping me..Believe me I have a Team baffled and we have came to accept that I’m an enigma. lol.
