I am a 56 yr old causcasion male. I grew up just west of Atlanta GA (Carrollton, GA). I have a BA degree in Geology and Math/Physics. I have an M.S. degree Materials Engineering from GA Tech in Atlanta.
My first marriage lasted 17 yrs and ended in divorce in 1996. I remarried in 2000 and am still married. I have 2 natural sons and 3 step sons. All my sons are out of the house but not completely on their own as of yet.
I was dx with major clinical depression and stage 1 lymphacytic leukemia in 2000 (CLL). I am being treated for the depression but not for the CLL as of yet (no major symptoms). I expect to start treatments within the next 3-5yrs.
I am looking for help in dealing with my issues.
My depression keeps me in dark valleys that are difficult to emerge from. Currently I have no one to communicate with that understands my situation. This situation makes me feel very lonely.
