!!!!
So sorry it took me so long to respond!! I am so busy lately with the kids and school that it is taking up all my time….
Yes, the site is a mess and is only getting worse, I think. Though I still come here once in awhile to help those who seem sincere and to connect with some friends…..
I’m glad that your twins are loving the swimming lessons. That is a great thing to get them into at this young age. Great for them to know how to swim….or at least not be afraid of the water….LOL
Hi sweetheart good to see you back again. Yes I have a site for socializing and whatever. Not to compete with here. Looks like this site is on the mend though.
Two pups are left but spoken for. One goes to its new home soon, and one we’re keeping. Thanks for shouting me.
No not banned, or even any problems… just away from the site.
Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I have ended up overloaded at work again to the point that I have simply not been able to take the time to even ask for help let alone help others. I’ll survive, but it has been bouts of migraines mixed with allnighters mixed with a few tears, seasoned with some “I am going to quit my job”.
Thank goodness I have excellent child care… that at least helps me feel better. And thank goodness it will be over December 20. Then I am vowing that I will not let it happen to me again.
Thanks, got your shout. I am only taking one online course…it’s a “touch base” course with the director of the program.
Yes, I think I will stick with it. I hope so anyway. I just feel so burned out right now…
Wow, how nice to adopt. There are so many kids that need loving homes. We have considered adopting if the pregnancy thing doesn’t happen real soon. Children at that age are adorable, too.
But, I am actually working hard on an assingment….looking stuff up online and couldn’t resist checking out “help,” so I need to get going on that.
Ultimately I would like to teach for a year in Taiwan. But I have not finished my degree yet and Taiwan requires one for the working visa. Right now I am in Tianjin China and have started my classes here. I teach at a kindergarten and at COSL a Chinese oil company.
Ohhh, well, then I want to be an “endurer…” :) Yes…I do dream of a Ph.D.
Interestingly, NOBODY in my family has gone to college. My husband has, but my parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc….NONE of them….so they are not supportive because they don’t find education necessary.
As far as dividing my time….I think I’m pretty good at it. I try to do things kind of “ahead” so that I won’t regret it later if a child is sick or something…with a family, you never know when something could come up.
But I guess my question is: For example, during the semester, for one of the courses, we have to do weekly reflections. They are due by 5 pm on Friday. BUT, the semester is 16 weeks long, and we only have to do 8 reflections. I have done 4 reflections, so I am half way done, and I am “ahead of the schedule.” However, I ALWAYS get them in RIGHT at 5pm on Fridays….I always wonder, when I do that sort of thing, if the prof thinks that I am “barely hanging in there….” or not taking their course into enough consideration by “procrastinating” until the last hour….
I understand about expectations and deadlines. That isn’t the issue. I have never turned anything in late or tried to get an extension. I think the expectations are good because they make a program outstanding instead of mediocre.
Yes, as for our schedule: every minute is ‘counted.’
How wonderful to have twins!!! Did you name them ‘rhyming’ names? Or ’same first letter’ names? Did you know right away you pregnant with twins? And, yes, it is a fun age….someone once said that kids are little scientists, and it is so true…it’s fun to watch them and to realize what/when/where/ they are ‘discovering.’ And they say the cutest things!! :)
You may find this crazy…but even with all that is going on in my life, we are talking about having another baby!
It sounds like you have an interesting, fulfilling, and hard-earned career. One of my best friends has a Ph.D. and I would really like to get there, too….
Well, it was good to talk to you. Thanks for shouting me back. Where in Michigan do you live? You don’t have to give out that information if you don’t want to….I am just interested b/c we spent a week last year “touring” a bit of Michigan.
I just started my grad degree in May. Before I began this program, I thought surely I would continue even farther and get my Ph.D., but now I’m not so sure. It is not easy. My cohort started with 16 people and already 2 have dropped out. More talk about it every day.
My husband has gone to ‘nights,’ so he works from 5 or 7 pm til 3 or 5 am. I get up with the kids at around 6:30 am and get them ready for the day. I have to get him up at 7:30 so I can leave for class and he takes our 2nd grader to school; our kindergartener goes in the afternoons….and then he stays home and watches the 3 year old. So, we are both not getting any sleep.
And I should NOT be on help so much…but I use help for ‘breaks’ in studying…
Well, I will look forward to talking to you again sometime. I noticed you have a Ph.D. What is it in? When did you get it? You must be a professor….you teach, but with a Doctorate, it isn’t elementary school! :) Maybe I could ask your advice one of these days about a ‘professor’s point of view….’ (how they tend to view people like me/people barely hanging in there….)
Well, I’ve chatted enough….need to get back to highlighting my chapter. :) Thanks for the shout.
Sounds like you had a great summer. My kids and I took a cruise to Alaska with a big group of family, which we loved. I’m good. The kids are back in school of course, and now I’m trying to figure out if I should go back myself and get another degree so I can find a better job.
I tried going to that site but it said it was redirected to another location. And im sorry but i dont believe a plane caused those 2 buildings to fall demolition style and i dont believe a so called fire caused building 7 to collapse. The other surrounding buildings were fine why didnt they come to there demise as well. Ive seen what a fire can do to a building in person thats not even close to the size of those buildings and the building was not all ash. A plane can not do that to a building. Its impossible.
But thats not my concern thats the past and i know it was an inside job. My concern are the microchips and how we will think it will be used for good but eventually they will be used against us. I read an article about the pros and cons and the cons are what im very worried about. By the government making it a “norm” we will be willing to get these implants without any doubt so they will ease it into society by saying how good they are. I bet thousands of people will be lining up to get these devices put into their bodies, which is what they want… Today on the news they were talking about putting tracking devices in vehicles without the person even knowing (w/o their consent) like it was a good thing. My concerns about everything are happening as we speak i dont think it will take long before society are willing to get them. Because we are so easily manipulated into thinking what they want us to by broadcasting it everywhere.
Since he said if i reply to his post he made about me and another member that he would report me for harrassment im shouting you.
If you say look carefully about the buildings and that the so called terrorist didnt know that the plane would demise those buildings how come building 7, which a plane was not driven through went down demolition style as well?
And my concern was about Human “Tracking” devices (microchips) not the movie. Then someone told me to watch Zeitgeist, which only stated my concern for these chips that they will be used against us not for us.
Im not telling people to watch it and believe everything. The thing that worried me the most was the end about the very thing i was informing people of before i even watched or heard of the movie. I didnt know what the movie was about nor have i ever heard of the movie til a person recommended i watch it. The thing I said they would do with these microchips was at the end of this film. Thats what im concerned about thats why i wanted people to watch not for the other stuff that already happened but to the very thing that could take place sooner than we think.
Thank you for the response. I have watched the movie and ill say this. Some parts of the movie are a little out there but the first 20min or so are rather interesting. They deal specifically with religion and i honestly would suggest that you watch at least this part. then after watching that portion i would like to hear your opinion? thank you though
Hi, I just noticed the research you did on food pantries and such for one of the posters…thanks for being unselfish enough to do more than say nice things. And, no, I’m not connected with Help.com or CNET…
