I am finishing sophomore year of college now, going to 20 years old soon. If I could do high school and even middle school over again, I would do more work. That is, I would do all my homework and even try to take more advanced classes to get ahead. There may not be many people out there who agree with me, but I know a large majority of those in my field of study definitely would. I am studying engineering and I must say that it is very difficult. Obviously the degree of difficulty differs among schools, but the major itself is a difficult one. If back in my earlier schooling I had done more homework, then I would be better off now. Not only would I know more so the basic information wouldn’t have all been new to me, but I would be better at learning and going home and doing the homework. In many colleges, you don’t do your homework because the teacher is going to collect it. I do my homework because otherwise I will do horribly. Trust me, I tried it one semester, the first semester - I thought college would be a breeze, or at least similar to high school. I am working harder now that I ever have in my life and I enjoy it because I like the material and the classes, but I wish I would have had better preparation back when I was in high school.
The only reason your teachers in high school are making your assignments mandatory is because otherwise you would obviously not do them. Think about those extra credit or optional assignments, who really does them? Hopefully with time you’ll understand that the homework is a great help.
If you disagree with what I’ve written, please respect my opinion. There is so much I would do different is given the opportunity, but then again it’s much easier said than done.

it depends on which variable is a function of the other, so here’s the way to get one and then the solution for the other.
4I + 6F - 6F < 500 - 6F
4I < 500 - 6F
(1/4)*4I < (500 - 6F)*(1/4)
I < (500 - 6F)/4 OR I < 125 - 3F/2
Then if you wanted F as a function of I, you should have done it the other way, solving for F, and that would leave you with:
F < (500 - 4I)/6
to actually graph these, there is some method to it which you are better off looking up, but its basically the following –
graph the function like you would graph y=mx+b (pretend the < is a =)
then pick two test points, one above the line and one below, so thats a (F, I) or (I, F) coordinate. Then shade in the direction where there was a true test point. Meaning, one of the test points when put into the inequality that you solved will be false. Shade in the direction of the true point.
