• (1 vote) How do you think Rap/Hip-hop is effecting the children of today?
  

  Well first off “Rap/Hip-Hop” is a pretty broad term. Rappers such as Mos Def and Talib Kweli cant be put anywhere near the same category as guys like 50 cent. There are completely different messages being sent out from each individual artist. There are conscious artists and artists out for the dollar and willing to say or do just about anything to get it.
  As in other styles of music there are also messages being portrayed that can be considered dangerous and obscene. But we would never put some racist skinhead rock band in the same category as say Nickleback and as the question “does rock music send bad messages to our kids”
  Lastly, as parents (and I am one) its up to us to try to teach out kids the difference between right and wrong and fact and make believe. So many of these kids grow up with “Fitty” as a role-model in stead of their own parents because their own parents dont take the time to become role-models for their kids. They expect society to be responsible for the upbringing of their children and will never accept blame for the problems this neglect causes their children.

  lol@ whoever they are. Yep they are Muslims.
  She allowed them to name a teddy bear after the phrophet Mohammed. Unknowingly this action was extremely offensive to Islamic people. I agree that it seems to be a extreme reaction to an innocent mistake, however, when in rome do as the romans do, and in Islamic countries using the phrophets name for anything other worship is a crime.
  A few years ago NIKE made a shoe which appeared to have ALLAH written on the side and had to recall all of them due to Islamic outcry.
  Basically I think that if you are going to risk going into these countries try to educate yourselves on the do’s and dont’s or suffer the consequences.

  I think condoms are cool,lol, and if they dont use them they can blow them up and make colorful condom bouquets..or have water balloon fights. Giving an 11 yr old the pill, doesnt make sense though, the hormones the pill contains probably shouldn’t be introduced to them that early, who knows what lasting side effects that could have including improper natural development.
  But I agree, kids are going to screw when they feel they are ready, even if they aren’t.Why not make the safety precautions available to them if they want them.
  Think of it this way.If your kid kept running face first into the wall at highspeed, you’d get him a helmet right?!
  Give the kids rubbers…..And Helmets.Crazy buggers.

  That sucks. Is it possible he’s seeing someone else and using this as an excuse to make you feel like the guilty party? Not trying to upset you more, but sometimes guys are a wee bit cowardly that way.

  Sometimes its the change that hurts more than the loss. Ive broken up with girls that were totally wrong for me and still felt the pain….but it was the change in routine. Think about it and decide for yourself. (BTW…. I’m glad now that i made the decisions I did)

  Sounds to me like he ripped the band-aid off a little prematurely. But think about it… if you said you didn’t want a long distance relationship you probably don’t. You could have a had a better last week together but this pain you are feeling is probably inevitable. Try to occupy your time and then when you are ready let him know that you agree its for the best. (that’ll drive him nuts, but at least you’ll feel better)
