  Incase you haven’t noticed . . . your an adult now.
  Looks to me anon like your old enough to leave the nest and get a life of your own.
  Then your dad who has provided a roof over your head all these years can’t boss you anymore.
  
  Now you can leave all those responsibilities and chores behind and go get your own place and have a job and be bossed by your manager or supervisor at work, telling you to “do this” and “do that”.
  
  Oh yeah, you can even have the privilege of paying your own rent and untilities on your own and buying your own food too. But don’t forget, the only way you can do this while on your own is to have a job and keep it by listening to a boss telling you to “do this” and “do that” every single day, perhaps 5 days a week.
  
  But yeah, you and your dad do need to have some time together and communicate about what’s on your mind and in your heart. I think that is really whats needed here the most . . . communication and respect for one another.
  
  Work will always be a fact of life no matter where you go in life. At least your dad is not spoiling you. He wants you to be use to chores because once you are out of the nest and on your own in the REAL world, then your gonna still have chores to do anyway. Your gonna still have responsibilities no matter what.
  
  You may need to be the first one to take the step in telling your dad that the two of you need to talk. He’s in his daily routine of going to a job and coming home and probably doesn’t notice how he really looks from your point of view.
  
  So YOU be the one to speak up and just tell him that you want to have a talk today or tonight. If he says he’s too busy, then tell him that you want to have this talk with him within these next 2 days and tell him it is very important to you.
  When you do have your talk with, tell him to stop ordering you around in front of your friends every time. Tell him how it makes you feel. Be honest with him about it. It would be nice if he would ask you how your day was and take an interest in your life.
  Try to come to a comprimise with your dad that works for both of you.
  
  If it can’t work out, then I suggest that you get a job and save up some money to get your own apartment and have your freedom. Your old enough now girl. :)
  Just remember . . . being out on your own does come with responsibilities and yes . . . chores.

  Yes, I believe in miracles.
  
  I was deaf as a baby due to a head injury and doctors said that they couldn’t operate on me and that I would never hear again.
  My mom believed in God and in the power of prayer. At age 4 she decided to put her faith into action and took me to a prayer meeting at a local church. The minister had her bring me up to the front and everyone prayed in the name of Jesus Christ and believed God for me to be healed.
  
  Nothing happened that same day, but my mom didn’t stop believing God to heal me.
  One Winter day I was outdoors playing in the snow when a snow plow came down the street.
  When mom came out to check on me, she noticed me stiff in the snow and not moving. She came and noticed that I was scared stiff and she brought me inside. When she took off my snowsuit, I was soaking wet inside my suit and that’s when she discovered that I was able to hear sounds around me for the first time.
  
  The noise of the plow was the first thing I ever heard and it scared me really badly, causing me to sweat inside my suit and I believe I also peed my pants.
  Mom took me to the doctors and they checked me out and concluded that it was a miracle. I should not have been able to hear at all due to the injury I had.
  
  When I was a baby, my dad had been beating up my mom. One day he had me in one arm while he took a swipe at my mom with his other fist. My head hit the bannister post in the stairwell very hard and caused injury to my head which had resulted in deafness.
  
  So now, at age 4, I was suddenly hearing perfectly with no signs that my head had ever been previously injured.
  Now that I was able to hear, I had to learn to talk. So my mom had me put into speech therapy and also continued to take me in for scheduled periodic hearing tests. I was able to attend kindergarten at age 6 and was still going for hearing tests until I was in grade 1. My hearing remained perfect and still does to this very day.
  God heard my mom and others praying for me at age 4, but didn’t heal me until days later. He seen that my mom didn’t stop believing just because I wasn’t healed during that church service. I believe that it was my mom’s unfailing faith that helped bring about that miracle back then.
  
  The fact is that I could have still been something today even if I had remained deaf all these years. There are many people who are deaf and are successful in life. The purpose for my healing was to show my mom and others that God is faithful and His power is real.
  
  FAITH is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see.

• (1 vote) Why is it wrong to commit suicide?
  

  If I had succeeded in suicide back in 1993 when I was going through some major stress and difficulty in my life, I would never had met the wonderful woman who is now my wife. Also, I would have missed out on the opportunity of being the great dad that my stepdaughter needed back when she was only 3 yrs old as the other guy chose to be a dead beat and an irresponsible father figure in her life. He didn’t manage money properly and failed to provide enough food in the home each month. Her mom was willing to starve herself at times to make sure her daughter had food to eat. Her mom separated from him. As a friend, I tried to help them work it out but she didn’t want to remain with him anymore and so her and I remained good friends and it turned into a relationship. We were engaged on Valentine’s Day outdoors at a park and her daughter was so excited and already wanted to call me daddy before her mom and I got married.
  
  We have been a happy family for years now and now when I look back to the days when I wanted to end it all, I am so glad that I made the decision to keep living even though things took awhile to get better. I eventually met a wonderful and beautiful woman who deserved sincere love and a precious little girl who needed a caring and supportive daddy in her life. She doesn’t like to refer to me as a “stepdad”. She sees me as a real true dad and tells me every day that she loves me and gives her mom and I a daily hug, even now as a 15 yr old. She has great friends and is doing well in highschool. The teachers really enjoy her in their classes.
  
  My wife is kind and generous and very thoughtful of others. She is a peaceful and graceful person and her beauty radiates from deep in her heart. I have no regrets for being alive today. She and I have a good love life.
  
  I feel so blessed to have this precious little family and to think that I would have missed out on this if I had taken my life back then. It wasn’t time for me to leave this life back then. I had a purpose for living.
  I couldn’t see it back in 1993 when I was in the hospital for a month, getting help. Life can be a puzzle with pieces scattered everywhere. Some things in life don’t always make sense but later when pieces begin to fit together from one experience to another, you can start to see the big picture much better.
  
  So please don’t ever consider ending your life. You are very special and you have a purpose for living. It may not always make sense at times and yes, you may run into opposition and harsh experiences. But try to learn from these experiences and be a survivor. Let these difficult times pass, as they soon will. Learn some things from it and it will help you mature more and strengthen you.
  
  If these people in your life are mistreating you and act like they don’t want you, then just up and leave them and move on with your life. You need positive people in your life. You are not a waste of life and time. You have a future ahead of you and there’s gonna be lives out there you can touch and be a blessing to. Don’t listen to the lies that negative people throw at you, saying that your no good or whatever other crap they dish out at you. You don’t have to take that anymore.
  
  Yes, I agree that it can be difficult at times, but this shall pass. Just like storm clouds eventually fade away and the sun shines through to brighten the day. Your life can get better like mine did. Just step out and get with people who do care and who are positive and even fun too. Get active in other things and take your mind off the negative.
  Get away from those who keep bringing you down. You deserve better.

• (1 vote) I work in a hospital,it breaks my heart to see all of these families in so much pain and sorrow.
  

  Well, it does come with the kind of job you’ve chosen.
  I think it’s good that you work in a hospital. It’s not an easy place to work at, considering what you have to see, hear and smell every day. Perhaps you can give a pleasant smile and some words of encouragement to those who are grieving and those who are suffering with pain. They really need it.
  A smile alone can be encouraging to someone. It can even make their day when someone smiles and gives some encouragement. Try to stay positive and look at what you can do to make someone feel a little better.
  
  Thank you for committing yourself to the work you do in a hospital, no matter what kind of work it is.
  I appreciate what you are doing. Don’t allow the circumstances around you get you down. Instead, be a shining light of encouragement and hope where you work.

  My own daughter often uses text talk when chatting on messenger with her friends. I’ve always called it chat talk, but I do admit that it’s annoying to see words not being spelled correctly. I’ve told her to be careful not to do that on her schoolwork. Sometimes she makes spelling errors that I believe are the result of her chats on the net, but all these young people like to do this and it saves them having to type out a whole bunch of full words. Its easier for them to take the shortcuts. As long as they remember to use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation in their schoolwork, I guess it’s okay.
  
  When they’re all together doing this text stuff, its not such a big deal, but I guess when it comes into a public place like here, it can be confusing and annoying for the rest of us to try reading. lol
  They need to understand that not all people on the net use that text language. If they want to do that amongst themselves, that’s fine, but maybe not on sites like this.
  Especially if they want all of the rest of us to understand their postings and be able to reply to them.
  That’s how I feel about it. :)

  Thanks thep for sharing that with all of us. It is so uplifting.
  I showed the videos to my wife and teenage daughter and they loved it too.
  Our daughter also loved the sweet smiles in these videos. That is so precious.
  It actually brought tears to my eyes to see this little 5-1/2 yr old girl playing so well on the piano.
  I am going to pass these videos on to my mom as I know she will love it too.
