anonyme's Top (5) Replies by other users' votesDrink lots and lots of fluids to replace the fluid lost through sweating, headaches can be caused through dehydration. So lots of water and weak fruit juice, plus dissolve a stock cube in a cup of boiling water to make a thin bouillion which’ll help replace the salts you need too.
You might need to go to the doctors if this continues for more than a couple of days.

There’s no set “style”. If you try too hard, you won’t be punk, you’ll just be a poser. What bands do you like? Rancid? Social Distortion? Sex Pistols? The Ramones? X-Ray Specs? Depends on what kind of “punk” you listen to, because it’s a wonderfully varied genre and there’s something for everyone (who likes punk anyway). You could be into political punk like Propaghandi, pop punk like New Found Glory, ska punk like CapDown, ska-core like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, aggro, Oi!, new wave, riot grrl, post-punk, emo (both the older and awesome stuff like Fugazi or Rites of Spring or the newer, more emotional, and less hardcore, stuff like Fall Out Boy) or any of the other 27 million (might be a slight exaggeration) sub-genres it’s spawned, each with it’s own trailblazing bands.
It’s about expressing YOUR opinions, the most punk-rock people I know are lecturers and teachers who’re giving kids new ideas and encouraging them to make up their own minds about their world. Punk ain’t a look, that’s a misconception that Hottopic use to their advantage to cheat millions of impressionable teenagers out of their allowance.
So to heck with the perceptions of punk, dress the way YOU want to dress, not to fit into a clique.

In the long term, yup. It’s a flat universe (density of the universe is close to the critical density) and everything’s going to decay and decay and decay and decay into the most infinitesimal bits you can imagine, and then decay a bit more. How cheerful is that?
But if you ignore the joy that is Observational Cosmology, I’d say no. The planet is a changable thing, between weather, natural heating/cooling cycles and tectonic movement, it’s completely inconsistent. Remember, the era we’re living in (the Anthropocene) has only existed for about a 100 years, ie, not very long on a geological scale, so we need time to adapt, and so does the planet.

Can I just ask why on Earth you’re comparing the two? 300 is shot in a graphic novel style to emphasise the nasty, short and brutish lives that were lead in ancient Greece. Sweeny Todd is a cinematic remake of a musical of a Dickensian Londoner. They’re utterly incomparable. Compare Troy and 300, or A Nightmare Before Christmas and Sweeny Todd, it’ll make a more convincing argument.

I went to boarding school, and I found myself in a similar situation. There was so much on offer, all of which I wanted to try out, that I found myself ill because I was low on sleep and was missing meals because dinnertime clashed with kayaking or cross country running or book club etc etc. I was exhausted and used to spend most of my holidays asleep!
Talk to your teachers and try to find out which activities are most relevant to what you want to do in the future, find out what level/qualifications you need to attain, and generally be a bit brutal with what you decide to keep doing and what you drop. If your work is in ANY WAY suffering you need to do something about it, and soon.
Also, when it comes to sleep, remember that 8 hours is the average, you could get more, you could get less. Clearly you’re pushing yourself a little too hard, and maybe could do with a bit of time so you’re not working till the small hours.
