  I have left before. He does great for a while then falls off the wagon. I’m not sure this time would be any different.

  Thank you all so much for the help. This has been an absolute nightmare for me. I think I will try what Animal suggested. I will give him a date and if he does not choose AA then I will have no other choice. I do love him and it kills me to see him slowly destroy himself and our marriage, but I can not and will not let my daughter grow up thinking that his behavior is good. She needs to see that drinking when done responsibly is not bad but when someone has a problem they should get help not give up. I just hope that he chooses AA, at least that way I know that he does value himself and our marriage. Maybe then I won’t feel as though I’ve made a horrible mistake.

  From past experiences with this type of behavior, your wife may have what’s called a boderline personality or she may be bipolar. My ex-husband suffers from bipolar and he would go from being the most loving person to throwing me out of the house. Your wife may not be as extreme but it may be worth checking into.
