I’m sorry to hear that things are so difficult. But I think first and foremost, you need to think about helping yourself and making yourself happy - because you can’t help others or make others happy if you’re not doing the same for yourself first.
If your parents expect this of you and you say no, they will probably be disappointed or upset. But they need to understand that it is your life and your future. If you really don’t think a marriage with this girl would work, then you need to make that clear to them as much as you can.
Do you know how the girl feels about this? Does she want to get married?
i have three options i don’t feel to marry someone rite now i`m afraid they will be sad if i say no and our relatives who are in between in all this will stop talking.
No worries. I like them very much also, and I’m glad you found them meaningful =)
I should probably head off to do some work and get ready - I’m going out tonight. I hope to talk to you again soon, Dyal. Take care of yourself (and don’t forget to tell me all about the singing contest! You’ll blow them away!)
Here are some I found - they are some of my favourites.
“And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”
And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way.”
So I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night. And He led me towards the hills and the breaking of day in the lone East.”
- M. L. Haskins
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me lay an invincible summer.” - Albert Camus
“Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream.” - Malcolm Muggeridge
“The one thing you can’t take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one’s freedoms is to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance.” - Victor Frankl
Hmm. I think the best way to live is truthfully - searching for the truth, helping others find the truth, and living out that truth.
I have found my truth, and I work hard to keep it real. Essentially, I think that is what a person needs to do in order to find meaning, to have a clear purpose, and ultimately to live life better.
I probably have some quotes somewhere. I’ll look for them and send them to you if I find them =)
I bet you’re amazing, Dyal. Just applying for something like that is great.
The other day I auditioned for a spot in the Women’s Choir. I love to sing. I didn’t think my audition went that well, but I got in. So it can happen, even if you doubt yourself.
Not alot i upload a video on youtube and my friends said i`m good.
It’s up to poeople and judges now :\ i`m afraid of that moment when i have to sing infront of them i never sing before in front of so many people…i sing at home and with my friends and i sing in my classroom once and teacher and student said i was Good. :-)
My family’s doing well, thank you. I’m currently in America finishing my degree at a college here, and then I’ll hopefully go home and do an extra year of study.
Life is great. I try to wake up each day telling myself that I will be productive and positive. It doesn’t always happen, but most of the time it’s a good motivator for me.
No worries. I used to use FB a lot more than I do now. It can be very addictive.
I hope you can find happiness wherever life takes you :)
Studies are going well. I currently have the flu, so have been stuck in bed for the last two days. I missed out on uni yesterday, which was a bit annoying. Hopefully I am well enough to go back tomorrow :)
Yes, once or twice. They were very damaging. Thankfully I am no longer addicted to those things :)
