London is a must-see really - the london eye is good, and there’s all the touristy things. there’s so many different places really… uh… scotlamd has edinburugh which apparently very nice and northern ireland has a stunning north coast. wales… i don’t know what the purpose of wales is to be honest…
i just sent this shout to myself… i’m too tired as it’s 1 in the morning here so i’m gonna go to bed. good night!

yeah, I’m sure that goes for any new country you visit! I hope to visit in the fall of 2009. Any reccommendations to where I should go?

oh good. yes, many have the impression that they’re over-bearing, loud-mouthed, ignorant etc. and people then make generalisations. but if you’re polite then folk will be delighted to welcome another tourist.

ah yes, just do be sure to be polite etc because american tourists often leave a bad impression.

lol. I know it’s not really like that! But I want to go there because the LAND is pretty!
And to experience another culture, of course.

lol, i must warn you, the Victorians are gone and not everyone in England speaks like the Queen.
Still a lovely place though.
As is the rest of Britain and Ireland.

once we ordered all our food in an american restaurant with chips and the waiter looked at us strangely and all the meals came back with crisps…
stupid trans-atlantic language barrier…

See, i don’t get why Americans call crisps “potato chips” because “french fries” are called chips here and are made of potato….

crisps = potato chips? I think?

I really like salt and vinegar “crisps”!

i’d say the chillis would give it enough flavour!
i properly despise vinegar - don’t even like salt & vinegar crisps!

no vinegar? it just gives it more flavor!

oh it’s usually just a vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce. tangy and spicy.

*sigh* i have to remove the image of flying buffalo from my mind now. right, i’ve heard of the city of Buffalo.
Now i need to ask if hot sauce is a specific American sauce or just any spicy sauce.

lol. no, they aren’t buffalo…they come from the city of Buffalo, New York. :) they are chicken wings coated in hot sauce…and quite tasty!

well i’ve HEARD of them on American tv programs and whatnot, but never seen or eaten any. I assume they come from buffalos? …which notably don’t fly…

well…I do talk to a couple of people that live in the UK on here…and they’d never heard of buffalo wings.

it’s a Northern Irish and Irish food, commonly eaten in an “Ulster Fry,” probably the world’s most fattening breakfast. It goes with sausages, beans, bacon, sodabread, black pudding and white pudding.
most of all it tastes GOOOOOD.
*cough*
um…so…
