  I agree. If you just want to talk to her again, then talk to her. You didn’t say whatever caused you both to grow distant, but if it isn’t too serious… just talk to her. If the disagreement can’t be overcome, maybe letting go is the better decision.
  
  Also, if trying to talk now doesn’t help, maybe try focusing on accelerating your own life. I’m not saying be self-centered, but focusing on yourself and reaching your own goals may attract people who do understand you, and maybe your friend will understand you better.

  Maybe it’s something you should talk about in person and not through notes. If he really was flirting with other people while you were dating, then perhaps you should just not worry about him. Did he understand why you broke up with him?
  
  If he’s not willing to forgive you, and you’re not going to forgive him, then there isn’t much hope in you becoming friends.

  I think it depends on your situation. My mother married, at age 18, married my father, age 23, and they’re still married and love each other very much. They’ve been married for over 20 years now. Though, when they were married, my father had his career lined up for the rest of his life.
  
  I’m only 17 myself, and I don’t know if that would be of any help. Age isn’t as important as maturity.

  I’m a senior in highschool. They’re both in college, but he’s in the local community college and she’s across the state. They’ve been having issues ever since I met them over three years ago.
