you’re taking the right step by at least confronting that somethings up. i myself was in your position but I didn’t have to redo my year at school. When I got out of school, my life changed. Its funny like that, although my circumstances changed my mindset hadn’t. I felt alone and helpless for the rest of my uni years. It took me nearly 5 years to seek out help, that after coming very close to a successful suicide. Its not worth it hey. It would never be worth it. I made a conscience decision to take the controls of my life. With help of course. Medication is not always the best option, but it helped me breathe for a while and now looking back to the person I was last year and now, I have no regrets. What we go through is that which makes us the person today. I’m just some random 21 year old who believes that anyone has what it takes, we just need a little help now and then. Chin up lady, everything will be okay.

I’m a teacher and also someone who has seen a lot of child abuse. Being from South Africa with a very high crime rate, including poverty child abuse is nothing to joke about. At one stage it was believed that raping a virgin would cure aids. Babies were sodomized, children abused left, right and center. Sad thing is, this is still going on. Physical abuse can destroy a child’s mind. I have friends still burdened memories. It a harsh reality to a lot of kids. But not all is lost, people survive, people grow stronger, people can intervene, it is but only a choice.

I hear where you coming from. Its a constant battle in your head, you just have to make the decision to fight it. Life is hard, its what makes it interesting.

Sometimes in the quest for revenge you only end up hurting yourself the most. I’ve been there, you just do what’s best for yourself.
