2009-10-31 09:10:46 on can a phobia be delayed?
It is normal. You’re brain usually takes a long time to absorb what has happened, especially if it was frightening and you hadn’t thought about it for a long time.
Not thinking about a phobia usually makes them worse over time, since your brain subconsciously categorizes the thing your phobia is made of and all of the instances of being afraid together. I have a odd fear of butterflies, and during the season they’re out I tend to get used to them and even begin to lose my phobia, only to regain it when they reappear the following year.
Try and associate flying with something else, like the food or the long time, rather than that one instance, otherwise its possible you could be like that every time you fly.
Sounds like it was very frightening, though! Very glad you are alright :)
2009-10-31 09:03:45 on “She like me but she avoids me”
Hmm, that is a big problem.
From what it sounds like, she is falling for you because she has been trapped in a very static relationship for a long time, and you’ve been the person to remind her of how it probably once was, and what she’s missing out on.
I realise you probably both feel like you are falling in love, but I think that you should just try and sort things out as friends for now. She obviously just needs someone to be close to, and its your responsibility now to show her that she can do that without being in a relationship. Hopefully you’ll be able to try and straighten out her life.
Hope this helps, even if its not what you might be wanting to hear.
2009-10-31 08:57:57 on Knee popping– is this normal?
I’m pretty sure its the same sort of thing as when people crack their knuckles. It’s just something some people can do very easily, caused by loose air.
2009-10-31 08:56:02 on i was with a lad about a year back and he had an idea
Um, ask a doctor.

Honestly? You have very pretty eyes, and from what I can tell you have very clear skin as well :) Personally, these are the things I notice first.
And don’t feel you need to do this to ask someone out. There’s someone for everyone, and everyone knows that beauty is 90% confidence.

Stockings is a definite!
Normal black heels would be fine, but velvet ones would be better. I’m sure I’ve seen some recently…. If you’re from the UK try places like New Look.

Big girls tend to pull them off better, in my opinion! I’m all for skinny girls, but you can only really pull off skimpy dresses in pin-up girl style!

Sounds pretty witchy to me, but if you’d be happy to be vampire that would be awesome. You could also go for general ghost with an outfit like that.

Hmmm… its possible that you only see the guy as what you want to, and therefore ‘getting over him’ is simply a case of breaking this image. Try and look at exactly what you do and don’t like about him. Either that or its your friendship that you are attracted to, and then you really need to work on separating these feelings.
As for now, though, I think you should let your friend know. Or at least another friend, so there is someone in real life you can talk to. I think in the long run this friend will be more hurt the more your feelings grow.

That was a quote? I just said it XD

I don’t like sand… It gets everywhere and I don’t see the point of eating gritty sandwiches in the freezing cold - beaches are always cold :(
2009-03-07 15:38:39 on Ok, me and my fiance are caring, loving and sometimes
Hmm… I see your point, and in all honesty I did try the same approach. I was with a man that I knew I was in love with and fully believed I could spend the rest of my life with - and I still do. We’re not married, but we take it for granted that we will stay together. That, in my opinion, is stronger then a piece of paper. I have seen nothing but divorce my entire life; not one of the couples in my family have stayed together, so I have very little faith in that piece of paper.

Surely being a boyfriend/girlfriend for the same length of time has the same perks?
Depends on how slutty the girl is and if she is willing to give it up before marriage!
Believe it or not, there are still girls and guys in this day and age who wait until the wedding night to give themselves to each other!
It doesn’t mean your slutty if you give your boyfriend your virginity if you’ve been going out with him for quite a while, and you’re both very in love. Having to wait until marriage is mostly a religious thing, I guess to protect women from unwanted pregnancy or a life of prostitution.

…………… OK, why do you need a ring to ‘bang’ someone? This is a bizzarre concept I’ve never heard of :S
