  Nothing will make you feel whole because you are forming. Your mind is young and simple things will not satisfy you. It’s impossible for you to be happy now because you are not old, your life is not lived. All you can do is live it, grasp for more and more to enrich it and make it worth more to yourself, to make yourself worth more to yourself, not in money but in irreplaceableness. Find minds that match yours, alive and dead, and then at least you will feel understood. Find something that lets you breathe. Know that you’re alive; it’s better than being happy. Happiness is for the old. see and do all that you can, have a dream and pursue it as soon as possible. Don’t let the drown win. Your family wouldn’t want that.

  not just a sad person, but you seem to think it is only good to be either happy OR sad. Sometimes, you might not know how you feel. You seem complicated enough that you won’t feel like just one or the other a lot in your life. Right now, you’re unhappy, so you’re not programmed to be happy. But, you’re not comfortable in misery: you’re not meant to be just sad, either. This at least shows that you won’t be sad forever. No single feeling is forever, even if it feels like it is, or will be. Your life will change, the things in it will change…. you will get over it. That’s what I mean. But, if you grasp for that ‘overness’ now, that happiness, you might spend a long time, years or your whole life looking for it, and never find it. Wanting things to be one way so often forces them towards the opposite. The only way to get over something is to accept it, and to know that it might happen again. You can only truly appreciate the physical world when you accept, vigorously, its imperfection. A bad mood is best subverted by losing the distinction between good and bad moods. All feelings are beautiful; they are not good or bad. It is only what we do with them, and when you, personally, are able to do something with your mood, you will know what I mean: that true happiness is not a static state, but a state of productive change. My point; be an artist. Seize every impulse. Magnify every detail. See what it is that ruins or enlightens the world, use yourself as a channel of humanity. Capture every flair and sparkle of reality in its objective state, and behold that which truly does just BE, envy it but don’t emulate it, understand your gift of change, difference, awareness, and UNHAPPINESS. True depths are plumbed in suffering, and in youth, we stand at the heights, able to fall the farthest and lose the most. Don’t fall. Jump, and you will come out in proximity to the truth, closer than most would dare to wander.
