I am 59 years old, a single parent, I always have been. My daughter, which was a very unexpected pregnancy, was born four months early. For the first year they did not know if she would survive. But thanks to God and a lot of prayers she survived without hardly any problems.
She was a darling child, very well behaved and lovable.
She is still darling, however, when she hit middle school the drugs started. This has continued and her only so-called friends were all drug users.
Because of my financial screw-ups; and the fact that whe did’nt work for four months, things just snow-balled.
I made some very unwise choices by taking out pay-day loans, then taking money to a casino trying to make more money to pull us through. Well, I won some money - which I stashed - then took it back to the casino and lost it all - plus.
I lost my apartment; my bank account is in the red $800, for the second time since October, and things are oviously worse.
I am on disability and have been for 14 years or more. I had to go on disability because I am bi-polar and manic depressive. Two years after I went on disability, I hurt my back and now have permanent nerve damage in my back.
I keep getting sick, have lost 20 lbs. which I cannot put back on. I am 5′6″ tall and only weigh 93 lbs.
I was working a part time job, which I loved, however, we had to move in with my brother, his wife, four kids and three dogs. There is no room, I can’t afford the gas money to get to and from work and feel like I am at the end of my rope.
I got sick last January with some virus, and it seems that my health just keep getting worse.
I cannot seem to regain my strength, or positivity no matter what I do. I pray daily - and duing the day asking God for help and direction. I will not give up my faith, but I am at the point that I feel it is all for naught.
This is only a touch of the iceberg, and I am totally at the end of my rope.
Finances are a hugh problem, and it’s not like the skies are going to open up and rain money.
I need some kind of work I can do from home on the computer, and everything I have investigated requires a monetary investment.
So, yes I am about at the end.

52-60 hours of college courses
What subjects did/do you enjoy the most at school?
I have a certificate as a paralegal. However, previous to that I took 12 hours of accounting, in wich I made straight A's. I did not go to college after high school, this I have done as an adult.
What's your favorite sport or sports?
I used to snow ski and play tennis - however, because of my back injury, I can no longer participate in anything. An even if I could, I can't afford either sport.
What kinds of jobs have you held? Industries too!
Sales (computer, car, beauty supplies and insurance). Administrative assistant. You name it, I've done it.
What hobbies are you into?
Nothing now.
What causes are you concerned about today?
Poverty, the homeless, the overall economy of the United States and the war in Iraq. Which we should have never been involved in from the begining. The President have screwed the American public over so much, misused funds, not taken care of our verterans - just goes on and on.
If you claim a political party affliation, which is it?
Democrat most definitely.
